De_La_Vega
Not at BP, but there was an immense game away at Grimsby on Boxing Day a couple of years back. 3-3 with Jermaine Johnson playing phenomenal football and Vernon scoring a peach, while for them Phil Jevons was just mint. That day he bagged a couple of screamers - it is hard to differentiate between them. The year Reading went up one of their lads banged a dipping volley over Gary Kelly at BP too, that was pretty special. Since some people have nominated goals by the Blues, worthy mentions to Littlejohn and Tipton who both scored great goals on their debuts. oafc0000
Cole were both good finishes but the rocket was from Beardsley and the keeper was Jon Hallworth's clone - Lance Key on loan from Sheff Wed. Oh now you have both got me thinking... Oh I can't remember Edited May 28, 2010 by oafc0000
Zorrro
In your defence, Beardo and Cole do look very similar.

oafcprozac
Oh now you have both got me thinking... Oh I can't remember One he turned and hit hard and low the other one he lobbed into the corner, Beardsley picked it up 40 yards from goal scampered forward and hit a rocket into the top corner... Kharine was wearing the same Keeper top ours were wearing that year. Rocket into the near post top corner...

DerekWilson_1968
Best goal against - well obviously none, but for a moment of standing there and applauding, either of Coles goals against us, Beardsley strung them both together perfectly, and though I didn't clap any of these, Irwin at BP when we got beat 6-3, Kanchelskis when he ran the full length of the 18 yard line, :censored: there are so many. None by a C**y or L***s player though - scruffy goals all of them. Best for - King Rog innnit. Diving header v Ipswich. To be honest I love that goal for what it was, record breaking. His goal at Ayresome Park takes some beating though when we won 1-0. Milligans too against Everton, an absolutely spanking volley. Best OG against, Killer at Leeds. It was a corking header. Best OG for, without doubt and I am sure that ther will hardly be anyone that disagrees, Kevin Francis. Derek.

He hit with his right foot, a real screamer - Royle said, "It's the firstbtime he's ever caught a ball straight in is life...!"
