Sharky
According to BBC Rumour's Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up a shock bid for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, who has been starved of first-team opportunities and is rated at about £12m. Full story: Caught Offside We could do with the Money from the Sale. Thats potentially Utd and Spurs after him.

garcon
I don't know anything about Caught Offside beyond the fact it is now often quoted in the BBC gossip page. I'm assuming it's a website. The only thing I will say is that every day it is consistently responsible for the most outlandish untrue rumour.
Stitch_KTF
I don't envisage City letting a home-grown first-teamer leave for their relatively poor rivals.
RobOAFC
20 percent of 12 mill = 2.4 million 2.4 million either into TTA pockets (and we cant say anything about it because we owe them that money) or into the Failsworth project.
longtimeblue
2.4 million either into TTA pockets (and we cant say anything about it because we owe them that money) or into the Failsworth project. Lets hope for Fulham and Wigan's fans sake that Whelan and Al Fayed to conform to that philosophy.

Lookers_Carl
Besides which this rumour comes about every summer. But every summer before this, Richards had played the majority of games for his club and was considered a first team player. Last season he had started only half of City's games and has fallen way down the pecking order.

Lookers_Carl
But will he be happy staying at city sitting on the bench only to make up the numbers re the 'home grown' players? Especially when Spurs could be knocking on his door and giving him the opportunity to play champions league football
