razza699
Had to go around over Chadderton Park road this morning because Broadway was shut from Elkmill towards the Harlequin at about 7.00am. There was a blood transfusion car heading for the scene this morning so it looked bad. Apparantly a lad has died , very sad if this is the case . Anybody heard anything ? Edit: Ah condition critical http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-fea...-crash-teenager Edited September 23, 2010 by razza699
oafc0000
Died apparently Looking at the crash I am surprised he died... The inside looks pretty much intact... Wonder if he wasn't wearing his seatbelt or something...

I saw it about 7:00am and it still looked busy so he was trapped a while

garcon
Looks like it may have rolled, windscreen and driver's door windows intact so his head may have struck the A frame/roof line. At a wild guess, too much speed coming off the roundabout on early morning greasy roads, lost the back, over corrected and slammed into the right hand barrier. Classic inexperienced driver accident. Very nasty, and shows even today's cars don't make you immortal.

Frankly Mr Shankly
I missed all this just by pure chance as I drove to work in Bacup via the M66 and not through my normal route which is through Rochdale.
