Diego_Sideburns
It's unusual these days for football clubs to make a profit, but Walsall have announced a trading profit for the fifth consecutive year. Only £5,000 but even so one which our remaining Amigo would be proud of in the present economic climate. The club averages smaller home attendances than Latics, but it has the all-important conference and banqueting facilities, and I believe it still has car boot sales a Sunday Market on the car park as an additional revenue source. Come on Charity Commission, pull your finger out! http://www.saddlers.co.uk/page/News/0,,10428~2230702,00.html Edited November 29, 2010 by Diego_Sideburns

Unless we can attract new investment - this is what awaits us with an air of inevitability, especially given that the Failsworth plan was announced on 21st July 2009 and we're still no nearer...when you look at the strides made on the pitch this year - it is so frustrating that this will possibly unravel in the January transfer window and certainly at the end of the season. oafc0000
Should Walsall be any higher than bottom of the league given there average support ? While living to our means will probably mean us not doing as well it is the ONLY way to secure the long term survival of the club.

Diego_Sideburns
1.) It has an owner/chairman/board who don't spend beyond their means. As opposed to some absentee landlords and their mate. The Saddlers supporters have issues over land ownership, don't trust the owner/chairman and want the manager out. They're trying to organise a protest against the manager for Saturday.
