Shame for the lad as he was just hitting form when injured - question is where would he fit in now with us having simpson?? no doubt he is gutted to be missing Anfield and his power and pace would have been an interesting option for us to have. Simpson and Scapuzzi are better suited to the second striker/deep lying role; Reid can take Kuqi's place when he's knackered/out of form.
