opinions4u
... with a £3,000 fine http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-23261430 So an individual who earns somewhere in the region of £100,000 per hour played gets out of his community service by paying £12 per hour not completed. It stinks.
disjointed
yet again our justice system pampers to the rich and famous, how much more before the honest and decent of our society take up arms against the government, I honestly thought that buying out your sentence only happened in the more deprived and backward countries. Or perhaps we are?
leeslover
This is :censored:ty. Obviously these sentences were put there for people with no money who couldn't care about a cash fine, but as it happens they work equally nicely for people with too much money to hurt them with a fine. Bad.
garcon
All on a technicality that it was his club that sold him, so he is leaving the country through no fault of his own. Shame. I was looking forward to seeing him picking up litter outside the Etihad wearing a Juve shirt.
jimsleftfoot
To be honest (although its crap) the fact that hes a footballer has meant he has to pay the fine, whereas someone else leaving the country probably just would have scarpered. Bristolatic
Hardship, my arse. Christ on a bicycle, with the money he's earning why doesn't he just move the partner and kids up to where he lives? If it ain't big enough for 'em all, buy another pad. He can afford it.
