100milesaway
I moved away from Olham ten years ago, but can still remember strolling through the town centre and hearing a group of Street entertainers, consisting of a group of maybe 4 people, The music, as I recall , was like a haunting kind of music that you would expect to hear from an Indian encampment in say a western ( cowboys and indians) kind of film, or maybe a South American twist to it. the entertainers were situated opposite Witherspoons( if it's still there). If anyone could put a name to this group or a name /number to the tapes? cd s that they used to sell, I would be more than grateful. Thanks Geoff. Or was it "Los"?
Diego_Sideburns
The music genre is called pan pipes or pan flutes. These entertainers were in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester - did they travel to Oldham?
100milesaway
After a swift look on You tube, I can confirm that this is the kind of music that I have been looking for. Thanks Diego and Harry
