Remember To Pay For The Dartford River Crossing - Before Midnight

It's 20 years since I last went down that way. I was surprised to sail over the bridge and yet not pay a toll.

 

There were a couple of signs with a "C" on them but it didn't register with me what they were. A quick check online when we arrived at Gillingham confirms a toll of £2.50 each way is due and payable online.

It would be very easy to forget this and end up with £140 in penalty charges.

They must be making an absolute fortune for this, i bet there's thousands who get fined as its not particularly clear that it's a toll, also didn't see many signs, a couple with a C on. Good job i checked when i got home or I'd have 2 fines to pay.
