Scapegoat Posted February 25, 2016 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Not sure I have read any rumours about us charging managers to work for us - but the rumour was that LJ was either willing to work for free / a pittance when he first came to get the opportunity and prove himself. Later the contract was supposedly reviewed and he was paid a more realistic wage. Given the relatively small number of management roles available vs the number of people that want to get in the business (existing and new entrants) then with footballers earnings at some levels being significant enough that they could afford to work for free for a while you could see this becoming more and more common.
