Does anyone know whether Latics Player will for commentary on an iPhone? I've tried the videos but they won't. Stuck in work today and I don't want to miss the commentary if possible!

Now that would be superb. I believe LaticsPlayer video etc relies on the Flash plugin, so us iPhone users have nae chance of it happening.

A Latics app would be a nice start, news, goals, table, fixtures, pics etc. Not too difficult at all, you just need to make it happen.

I will to a bit of delving Rick and get some costs, I haven't been involved with the development of apps, but I have designed them.

Seen other clubs develop them and work well. Could be a small earner for the club if the demand is there.

Suspect the club doesn't get to choose, PremiumTV will probably own all of the digital rights.

Anyway, looks like they're already on the case. There's a free Football League app out now where you pick your team and it feeds you the news, fixtures, results and profiles from the official site (so not great quality then). It also allows you to pay a fiver for video highlights but I've no idea if these are the same as the Latics Player clips.

Just noticed this...

Footbal league iPhone app

Would be lovely to have our own verison, but I imagine with the uptake, it isn't going to be cost effective. I've got the wheels in motion with regards costs though.

The football league app was launched t'other day - lets you select your favourite team in the App and personalises it. If you pay you can watch the video's on it but I've not bothered so can't comment on the quality.
