We'll have to see, it certainly an interesting claim - I hear it's fundamentally Shotokan, which is one of the styles I train in, there is scope for takedowns/sweeps and grapples, but little ground work to be honest. Do we have an MMA/BJJ/Grappling fans here?! Yep, although I train out of RTMA in Bury studying two styles of Karate. I've fought in kickboxing and studied Judo also. I've just started looking into doing BJJ and hopefully (depending on the wife's leniency) I can start a training system soon. On Saturday I was asked to fight in a low key MMA thing against Kyokushin Karate style fighter, but I don't think it's gonna happen now. He's not graded high enough - plus I'm getting on a bit now. Good, friendly, relaxed but hard working club. I enjoy MMA training occasionally. Developed a good top ground and pound game but I only use it to advance position to look for a submission. I'm a Gracie Student so should always be a submission! lol. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than an idiot who "trains UFC" turns up and gets repeatedly triangled and armbarred.
