Radcliffe admin can't spell and looks like Norman is our first choice keeper

Of course it means something otherwise what's the point? Still some time left but 2 draws and 8 defeats from the last 10 games Shez has stood on the touchline is hardly inspiring, now before everyone accuses me of overreacting I'm not suggesting a change in manager but if we are going to turn this around something needs to change and sharpish.
We are mid take over, the club can't sign anyone
We have 2 weeks to go
Jesus you were virtually spunking over promotion a few weeks ago almost like Sinnott asking us to put bets on
The first team squad looks absolutely awful
I'm just not losing my head over some pointless results, pre take over
Let's just see what the next 2 weeks offer

I have a good grip of the situation thanks....I'm just saying we haven't won for 10 games....since the 2nd April actually, and we could do with one to at least build our confidence...that's all. Would you prefer we go to Torquay having not won in 12/13 games then??
And there is a world of difference from the Dowie days and pre season 2006 than where we are today!
Agreed, but pre season means cock all now or in 2001
We beat Newcastle 6 years ago pre season

Think we need a good winning performance in either of our next 2 friendlie tomorrow and Saturday.
I can't remember a run of results as bad as this although I'm sure there has been one recently....L8 D2 out of 10 I think and we need a confidence boost before Torquay.
I was at Stevenage which was our last win and it seems a fucking age ago.
Maybe if we get an announcement tomorrow it will perk everyone up a bit
We didn't win a single friendly in the Dowie play off season and whilst I don't recall the results of Sheridans pre season in 2006/07 we started the league horrendously with Maheta Malongo up front and made the play offs
People need to get a grip
*edit- Malongo may have been the season after

Oh dear.
Unless oafc123 is John Sheridan or the new owner I'd wait and see on that one

Yes this was far worse.
I'm only jesting, I believe it was awful today. I'm just trying to wait until August 6th

Have we ever gone into a new season winning no pre-season friendlies?
2001/02 when we made the play offs
Started off pretty rank 2006/07 too when we also made the play offs but you crack on

Does anyone know why clubs don't just name trialists?
Surely any scouts present worth their salt would know who they are anyway?

I don't think at any point a resemblance to Maldini was mentioned, let's give him the benefit of doubt for now, Garrity didn't turn out too bad for Vale after being the worst footballer ever on here.
It's above for you - except I was wrong on that they didn't score

Garrity was awful for us
I've already said Jamieson may do similar, I'll be amazed if he does - Try watching said clip, even Garrity wasn't that shite

I could see Jameson making it in League 2 where you have the odd good game and the rest being given pelters for losing the match.

Can either of you point me to a single good game Jamieson had?
Let's not pretend he's bloody Maldini all of a sudden, he was awful in every game he played, there is a great clip of him passing to the opposition striker for them to score on Twitter at the moment where it was easier just to clear it - a defender basic

I prefer Tranmere's judgement than yours.
I work with a relative of his GF and they laugh at him
I also couldn't give a toss what you prefer, have a lovely evening

Technically good player. I liked him.
Hi Kyle
No, he isn't- Fylde fans were glad to see the back of him and laughed at us

Kyle Jamieson signs 1 year deal at Tranmere.
Now I'm aware he may well do a Garrity but WTF??

This just cropped up in my mind..
Does anyone remember a trialist who played for us one preseason, was absolutely shit hot and ended up signing for Leicester? I wanna say he was a Portuguese Winger? Any ideas were he's at nowadays?
7 minutes ago, disjointed said:I seem to remember him, don't think he played too many games for Leicester, could be wrong though, was it Rodriguez?
During the Robinson pre season - can't remember his name but yes looked a good player

The SLO role at Oldham is just the club ticking the box as mandated by first UEFA and then subsequently the FA.
Adam Street is the ticket office manager. He's not going to be an impartial liaison over anything to do with ticketing issues.
The disability liaison officer is the safeguarding & supporter services manager, Pamela Makin, again she is not going to be an impartial liaison over a lot of issues connected to disability.
In fairness to Abdallah, under Corney, the SLO was Jenny Warburton, the club's lead commercial person. She wasn't impartial either.
The guidance over the SLO is for them NOT to be a club employee, because that person can't be impartial, but under successive owners that guidance has been ignored.
If the FA / EFL / National League cared about the SLO role at clubs they'd mandate that guidance to force the club (and we won't be the only club using a club employee as the SLO) to use someone who isn't a club employee. But if they did that the club would probably appoint someone like Michael Halliwell or Stephen Partington to the post ignoring any other vastly more independent and more qualified candidates.
2 minutes ago, underdog said:I know Mark was a volunteer SLO. He was also an OASF director too.
The SLO for a long time under Corney was Mark Lund and not Jenny Warburton

Who do the club employ to take care of fan engagement do you know? We used to have a supporter liaison officer, is this still the case?
9 minutes ago, underdog said:I have no idea TBH.
The last liaison person I knew was Mark Lund
But it would take much would it. A Iick of paint/art/muriels by Oldham College to brighten the place. I remember someone saying those pop up flags like a legend walkway.
Look at getting a fanzone sorted on carpark somewhere where local business can pull up and ply their trade. Pies, pints, pin badges...
Pre match entertainment. Did they not have a local dance troupe at one stage?
Half time stuff like OACT do.
Lots of stuff. Stuff fans could have helped with if the engagement was there.
Oh well
Really wonder why people don't just check the "contact us" section of the website under "club"
Like when everyone was asking who the safety officer was
https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/club/contact-us/
SLO is Adam Street, he's just shit at it

We stuck by the lad while he was injured and he leaves for Tranmere.
I presume that we will get compensation for him given his age?
Only if we offered him a contract

Since when was an accountant a property valuation expert?
They aren't
And neither are any of us but yet we've called bullshit on Uncle Blitz valuation for years
Him and Corney are crooks - that interview shows it and they can both sue me for saying as much

See - told you he was probably the most competent employee of the Lemsagam reign...
I knew you'd call me out! TBF my only previous experience of him was Royton Cricket Club where I thought he came across as a bit of a tool, having listened to that he certainly knows his stuff and seems to be quite likeable and comical too.
The state of the clubs finances when he came in and the complete lack of proper record keeping is frankly terrifying
