    Howe- Massively overrated by anyone linking him to the England job. He's good when he had money to spend, which is most of his time at Bournemouth who overspent and got lucky to get promoted to the PL. Then when in the PL he overspent on dross from Liverpool's and Chelsea's reserves and quit before he was relegated.

     

    Yes he did well in 5 months at Newcastle and I expect him to continue that run because he has money to spend. 

     

    The FA should try to get the best manager they can for the England job, Eddie Howe isn't that manager.

     

    I personally think Howe will come unstuck next year once he has the money not too dissimilar to Royle (yes an FA Cup with Everton) but he's always been best as an underdog manager polishing jewels rather than spending mad amounts

    He has the talent to be a professional footballer but his injury proneness probably means only a few clubs will be interested.

     

    I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Barrow as Wild has coached him at 2 different clubs. Technically Wild has signed him at 2 different clubs too, although his initial loan spell at us was probably on the suggestion of Scholes as opposed to Wild.

    It's a revealing interview, not just for confirming the malign influence of ML, which we all already suspected, but because for me it points out the weakness in the EFL "fit and proper" owner test. It's bad enough that these charlatans were somehow passed fit to acquire the club in the first place, but how can there not be a requirement for some kind of continuous assessment? Curle's comments on absentee ownership, and the lack of leadership in AL's absence, speak volumes. I accept that if someone like AL is deemed unfit to continue as owner there's then the practical problem of how do you remove him, but for the EFL to seemingly ignore such issues and hope they go away is wrong.

     

     

    It's been reported that Mo failed the fit & proper person test which, if true shows what a debacle it is that he can run the club anyway

    Democracy is a myth they keep the peasants in control by allowing us to choose our tyrant every few years, the fact that the whip exists is a laugh "my consitutents don't like it but the government are telling me to vote for it"

    My enduring memory is him with a blood stained bandage round his head. He was definitely a warrior and I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of his biceps

    The disrespect for Sheridan is absolutely staggering (yes I questioned his appointment and even coined dinosaur) the guy came back to try and get us out of this when all hope was lost and I agree with every word he said on Saturday - we had 10 minutes left - I can't believe what I'm reading from some people. Time to sign off for the night

    I don't agree with shez being appointed but more because I think the Lemmies are setting him up as the fall guy.
