  1. All the usual suspects agreeing even though they know the quality of the player's mentioned Says it all
  2. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, it wouldn't do for us all to be the same!
  3. Give over They're in a better team that's going to win the title and would easily get in ours hands down.
  4. Just thought I'd reinforce the point for those satisfied with how it is now
  5. We should have brought in Colclough, Conn Clarke and Berry like BP advised These are the type of players that would shake up our season and make a real difference to where we finish.
  6. As we are now it ain't happening and you heard so from our managers mouth
  7. I think they'll give us a game and so will Solihull Boreham have beaten us before and will be expecting to do the same again, yes give them respect but we have to also have the belief to show them last season isn't happening this time. A win will be massive and could be the catalyst to sort Solihull out on our own patch
  8. I think he's not far off with the Easter bit and I'll get my bonnet on for that, I don't see us as title challengers in reality, which throws us into a lottery like Notts had to face, which was criminal TBH. Play-offs would be a good outcome given what's going on right now and hope for the best and more luck if we haven't already used up our full allocation
  9. Yet another get out of jail card, blimey, at this rate we'll have a full deck
  10. Do Lynx do a Rose's fragrance? I'll get some for Dave's leaving present
  11. I'm thinking any contract agreed upon would see the remainder of that term full paid up, whatever the outcome. That sounds about right in the world of football
  12. The managerial roundabout keeps revolving, there's a living to be made from failure and some are far better at it than others, 3 year's is alot to pay out if it goes wrong, maybe a rolling 1 year contract would have been sufficient but then again, Dave would have been gone by now had this been the case.
  13. One job I had for 20 year's and I never saw one increase, infact, the £1000 taxable bonus I received if the store was doing well, which it most certainly was during the yupee era, was also stopped as peoples ability to spend shrank. With mortgage rates going from 10% to 15.4% in the early 90s and the introduction of poll tax, we had to tough it out literally. I'm still careful after all these year's even though I'm comfortable, the hardship and trauma stays with you.
  14. It's been ongoing and doesn't look like stopping for a good while, some have no choice through circumstances but others can't have any complaints about what they've brought on themselves
  15. I was just throwing out a number and not to question you, more playful. It must be so reassuring to sign any contract that pays you out on whatever remains of it on termination, now why haven't I ever had that kind of luxury in my 40 year's of hard graft? Safe to say whatever happens, Dave is coming out of this smelling of Rose's
  16. Like summer, it was wonderful while it lasted, Now like the sun, I'd love it to return sooner rather than later and before the winter of discontent
  17. An extremely good post and I find myself nodding in approval at your logic, I don't think it'll take that many game's to know if we have or haven't got what it takes to be challenging? Saturday and Monday should offer up more insights
  18. He's done enough grinding in 3 out of the 4 game's played and won once, will he continue this strategy in order to hopefully gain another point at Boreham wood? Because they already have our number.
  19. Fine if you can get away with it but he's definitely struggling whatever he conjures up
  20. Then you have to change the narrative and make sure it happens less.
  21. Why not, let's all join and be happy at us standing still
  22. That's what it was all about, Trying to keep the score down after the Halifax debacle, so he didn't have to face the music once again, had we gone out 1 nowt on a whimper, what in hells name could he have come up to nullify the way most of our fan's are feeling right now? Yes, he got a fantastic point and I mentioned it (before and after) but we really need to set up to win without fear and not just because the manager doesn't want the fallout from his failure. Nobody would say jot if we lost but left everything on the pitch, doesn't he understand this concept?
  23. Had Grigg hit that chance first time to make it 2 nowt, we'd of caved in like butter The way we're riding our luck and allowing teams to come onto us all the time, there could be a few more results like the Southend one
