  1. Hi Lisa

    Sorry can't help with logo.

Thanks from Joeseph for Saturday, I don't know if you can help with a small problem though.

The Tranmere lady gave Joe a cerificate for him being mascot, but it was made out to a Matthew Crome, I don't know why as I had spoken to her the day before and told her he was called Joseph Gardner.

He was a bit upset with this and I wondered if you might be able to get a replacement one with his name on it?

Let me know what you can do.

    Regards

    Ian G.

  2. Here's our Joe (grandson) as Latics mascot @ Tranmere, thanks Lisa for making Joe's day out a great day :latics: .

  3. We are currently formulating ideas for the new scheme which will allow us to save funds that will help Paul Dickov in his quest to improve his squad. If we can help in some small way towards wages or a loan signing it would be great. We acknowledge those few members who joined the scheme the last time around and hope for their continued support.

Circumstances have changed a great deal since we last appealed to fans and I am hopeful that those who are able will join us.

I am currently looking at a scheme that will cost £1 per week with an incentive to join. As with season tickets we are looking to offer a season ticket when we have reached a particular target point with membership.

We are also looking at a monthly prize, not particularly cash, but something worthwhile. I would hope thast by January we would have sufficient funds to help the manager .

Things are fairly flexible at the moment and I have started the thread to give everyone the chance to come forward with any ideas we can consider.

    Hope you can help.

    Barry

    Hi Barry

Following on from the trip to the White Hart, put me and Matt down for the sponsorship :D

  4. Tranmere are not participating in the ticket exchange programme for this season and therefore we will not be running a coach trip to them.

We can however, take a mascot. If any Boundary Blues members are interested in being a mascot at Tranmere please can you let me know before this Friday and I will let you know the contact details etc.

    Thanks!

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa

Hope you are all well, my grandson (Joseph) has got his 1st season ticket for Latics (main stand) and we're going to enrol him into the Boundary Blues, we're going to Tranmere so without wanting to jump the gun, he's available if you don't sort anything out for the mascot.

Let me know how to get his membership sorted, we're going to tonights match.

    Regards

  5. Leeds released players and others told to find new employment:-

Goalkeeper Casper Ankergren, defender Rui Marques and defender Andrew Milne will not be offered new deals.

Contracted Alan Sheehan, Lubo Michalik, Andy Robinson and Tresor Kandol have been told to find new clubs.

Andrew Hughes will be offered a new deal, while the offer to top scorer Jermaine Beckford still stands, although he is still expected to leave.

Anyone worth considering? I've highlighted in BOLD who I think.

    Regards

  6. We're certainly not the cheapest for parts, but I always say you get what you've paid for.

My main recommendation is to buy all the components from one source and then if there any problems your only going back to one company/shop.

If you then feel comfortable in building the PC yourself fine, if not we can offer a build only service if you decide to buy from a third party (approximate price £40.00 fully inclusive of testing all the components before building the base unit up).

Last but not least dependent on the graphics card you buy ATi/nVidia try and make sure the motherboard BIOS is compatible to it and the PSU you buy is stable enough and powerful enough for it.

Other than that, good luck and if you need any help, just ask.

    Regards

  7. What's happened, anyone know?????????

Is he signing after his trial, no news on Latics web-site, it's gone very quiet about him.

Are we looking at anyone else?

Only news on the official site is "do I want to book a holiday" - NO.

Win a copy of Michael Jackson's "This Is It" teamcard - I think not. :ranting:

    Very bored. :computer:

  8. Congratulations to Matt (Limpetlad) and Sarah on the birth today of Abigail weighing in at 6:10  @ 10-55am in Oldham Royal.

Mum and new born Latics fan Abigail are doing really well, Matt's just amazed by it all :drinking45: .

    A very, very happy Grandad.

  9. You labour costs is at £34 a hour thats a total rip off. How do you know it will takes 2 hours to strip the motherboard out, most new laptops have sections which you can unscrew and have them out in no time. Tbh you cant give a price out over the internet to you have seen it.

Macca if go the PC shop on Market street in Shaw, take the laptop with you they will do a free accesment and give you a quote

    Macca. www.ebuyer.com

We don't charge this figure a third party company does, who we send it too.

Also have you ever stripped a laptop down I presume not.

This is the last time I'm going to offer any help to anybody on this board.

NOTE: I offered to send it off and have it repaired without adding anything to the bill.

Finally for your information, when you are trying to run a business £34.00 per hour labour cost is very, very low.

    Rant over with.

    Ian G.

  10. It's the most common fault you get with laptops.

What's happened is someone has probably caught the power cable and it's broke the AC adaptor connection on the laptops motherboard.

It's a nightmare to repair and we have to send them off to a company based down south.

The repalcement part only costs £12.00 but it's 2x hours of labour to strip the motherboard out of the laptop and then another 2x hours to rebuild it.

We get charged £150.00 incl. VAT for the repair and parts (that's the cheapest we've come across in the UK), PC World charge £250.00 and send it to the same company.

If you decide you want it repaired drop it into the shop and we'll send it off for your and not add anything on.

    Sorry it's not good news.

    Regards

    Ian Gardner

  12. I don't post much on the site nowadays, but felt I had to show my frustration at Latics :rant.sml:

I'm at a loss at the moment, with the overall appathy at the club :help:

On one hand we have the TTA saying they want to go forward :shifty: and on the other hand our new saviour jacks it in :youroff:

We have a group of playes who don't seem to care, well if that's the case they shouldn't get paid :towork:

We have 5x season tickets in the family and with this present climate I can't see them being renewed this year, it will be a very sad decision :surrender:

I can only say "watch this space".

    Ian G.

  13. The lack of announcements/information coming out of Boundary Park today is deafening  .

Maybe they have nowt to say, or watch this space  .

I think an announcement on Royle will happen before the tickets prices are issued (trying to bouy up sales).

We could do with some good news, come on Alan or the TTA let us know  .

It's said there's a meeting tomorrow with Joe?????????????????????????

    Ian G.

  14. Unfortunately this is probably one of the most common faults we get with Windows XP.

It would appear the Windows software has been damaged and needs a system repair (we probably have to do this 5 to 6 times per week in the shop on clients PC's).

We can normally repair the Windows as long as you have a genuine COA/licence No: attached to the PC. It takes just about an 1½ hours to do the job and we have a set price of £35.00 for the work.

If you want to have it done give us a call on 0161 287 8877.

    Regards

    Nathan Gardner
