In the MEN click here to see, William Gros month by month contract and Amari Morgan-Smith on a one year contract.
Johnson said he is delighted to have two new additions and hopes to add more soon.

I've been watching Latics good and bad for over 40 years and last night I think I've seen one of the things we've been missing as a team.
A quality midfielder who cannot only tackle, but chase a ball down and put in a telling pass.
We used to have one in Ritchie Wellens and the Shed before him but John didn't do much chasing just left it to his younger brother Darren.
Vic Halom was also converted into this role from centre forward, if anyone can remember him.
I'm referring to John-Paul Kissock, a great performance from the little man and very tenacious in the tackle, he just ran out of steam which is probably understandable he maybe needs some more fitness training.
I'm open to comments about him but that's my honest opinion.
We also need to sign Lockwood up as a priority, solid and no nonsense. I watched our two previous prima donna's at this position on TV on Saturday night Tarky and M'Voto both give goals away, Lockwood has just grown into this position and looks very, very solid to me.

No chance...next rumour
Ian - who's the rumour from because I regard you as one of the more sensible and rational people on here...your original post is up there with spoutings from Royle Army or whatever their name was?!
Hi Midsblue
Thank your for your candor about me being rational.
Where my son works someone in the senior management is involved with Spurs, I don't know at what level and it has come from them.
I only put on here what I'm told could happen, as you know I don't just think of a name as some other posters do and away they go.
I'll be honest with you I'd no idea who Harry Kane was or who he played for until I was told, hey ho as they say.
You can't do right for doing wrong sometimes.
Ian G.
PS Whatever happens we do need someone and urgent in my eyes.

A little bird tells me we could be seriously looking at Harry Kane from Tottenham.
Don't the messenger.

PS You heard it 1st here............

Hopefully see you then.

This has to be the funniest picture ever, that was displayed as serious by our club.
Good luck Cliff a proper 100% professional footballer and gentleman.

I'm pretty certain this is the lad who played centre back with Lanzoni for the reserves recently against Tranmere reserves, I think.

Thanks Lags and for your personal support yesterday and yes Sean was there and I gave him a big "thank you" from me and the boys.
Unfortunately no one from the club appeared to be at the ceremony which was a bit upsetting.
I did get a text apology from Alan Hardy though which was nice said he was doing some work for the FA, over 200+ people said goodbye to my sweetheart in a fitting send off.
Thanks to all that attended.

May I say a very big "thank you" to all of you for your kind words.
We don't have any funeral arrangements as yet, but I will post them on here and Facebook when we have the details.

My darling wife of 43 years, childhood sweetheart and ardent Latic's fan of some 35 years lost her battle with MND on Friday evening in Oldham Royal Infirmary she passed away peacefully at 8-10pm, she would have loved the Stevenage win and I can hear her now shouting "Come On Oldham".
She's seen here pictured here with Clyde Wijnhard presenting him with the Man-of-the-Match bottle of champagne.
The whole Gardner clan with big Jean at the annual end of season awards.
What a beutiful lady she was with such a big heart, I'm missing you my sweet.

Good luck to Alan on his 6 months check up today.
Alan
The Gardner family's thoughts are with you today, as we say on the stage "go break a leg".

If anyone is interested in becoming a sponsor of playershare with links on our new upcoming website and other bits of publicity then please get in touch with me asap. This is open to any business who is willing to help us grow this scheme to it's full potential.
Give me an idea of what you're looking in sponsorship and I'll consider it.

A presence at the first home game is essential, as the Johnson feel-good factor will be high and potentially, never higher.
Get some contact details forms printed to handout on the turnstiles and concessions stands. Put together a script for Broady on the mic and parade the huge Latvian to the crowd (but don’t let him play in case he has a bad game). I’m not so sure about standing order forms being handed out as few people will wish to divulge their bank details in this way.
I was a lapsed contributor and will be starting up again before the season starts. I haven’t been approached by PlayerShare to do this so maybe there are others like me who could be re-connected with.
Also, I wonder if any of our commercial partners would be willing to offer discounts and offers to PlayerShare members? If so, these could be used to entice people on board.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi John
I'd definately offer 20% discount "off" labour costs for repairs to laptops and PC's that are brought into the shop by PlayerShare members, is that any good?
Who do I tell about my offer?

Gordon Lawton - Mr Oldham Athletic, big in stature and big in heart an not just for his club.
God only know how long big Gordy's been in the background at Latic's, but if anybody needed
a pat on the back for his service to us, it has to be him.

Heard tonight at the game that Brendan Rodgers (his dad, who was at the game) has said to us look after my son and I'll look after Latics, whether thtat's in loan players I don't really know at this moment.
I thought he was very busy in the 1st half and did everything on a simple basis (which sometimes you don't notice) and then broke up Dinamo's attacks, which of course a midfielder should be able to do, we should certainly have another look at him again.
There we're lots of Romanian press following Dinamo and I mean lots, when the 1st half players came up and sat in the stand for the 2nd half the press singled out Anton Rodgers and he had about 4x interviews with different Romanian press commentators, not sure what was said as their English was certainly a lot better than my Romanian. Great goal from Charlie McDonald, looked good on and off the ball, Mark Halsey (referee) was very petty at times and some of their players we're certainly kicking 3x lots of sh*t out of our lads.
What agreat ground that was and if we can get a new stand like their main one I'll be suitably impressed with it, quality finish, really nice seating (padded) and good leg room. Nice bar down stairs and seperate bar/club outside, very impressed.

I did an interview for Latics Player at 3.30 pm this afternoon. Unmfortunately, as many of you will be aware there are problems with the server and the club staff have been unable to place the interview on the site.
In the meantime I have released a statement prior to the interview appearing. I hope this helps.
I have never moved my position that the interests of Oldham Atheltic Club and its fans are paramount and fans should be a\ware that whatever challenges fall before me I will never fail to recognise my responsibilities.
Barry
Hi Barry
As a long serving and now somewhat troubled Latics fan, if we can't get the jist of this interview because of computer problems at the club and it's server, could I suggest you give us a brief resume' of what you are and we're going to say in your interview. This would probably be a better answer for most of the Latics fans as some possibly don't have Latics Player and they are as eager as everyone else to hear from the club and of course yourself about this situation.
Regards

Rodney Jack and I made the mistake of sponsoring him 2004-2005 season, poison that one, trust me.

To be fair to Hardy, if you had been fixing my PC and divulged something you had seen off my desk I would be pretty pissed off also.. Don't take this post as a dig, its not, you seem a genuine nice chap.
I don't take it as a dig at me, LAGS asked how I could confirm TGOBM, so I told him.
When the club didn't announce RJ's signature for whatever reason, I decided to start a rumour on JKLatics to see if it would come out from the club, may I also say Alan talked me into sponsoring the bad mannered little dwarf that year, what a waste of money that was and I have still have his shirt on display in the shop 2004-2005 season.

Interesting. He was a good read if not a little cantankerous at times. Seemed a prozac type at knowing facts also.
What's the script Ian how you proved it?
I was in Alan's office one day (repairing his PC) and I happened to see a fax on Alan's desk from RJ's agent confirming his signature with Latics.
When Alan came back we discussed a certain restaurant he'd visited the day before and he commented on the quality of the pate' I said I was taking Barbara there for a meal and would try it.
After we'd been, I commented on JKLatics about the restaurant and the quality of the pate', believe it or not TGOBM replied saying "he was glad his recommendation had proved good".
Upto this stage (probably 2 to 3 days) there had been no official news about RJ signing for Latics (nothing new there, then) so I posted it on JKLatics as a rumour and I got a call off Alan ripping me to pieces saying I shouldn't have divulged this information, which I just laughed off. I saw Alan a few days later and he tried to reprimand me again over the RJ situation and I again just laughed it off but thanked him for the restaurant recemmendation and the pate' I also asked him directly about TGOBM and he just gave me one of those sheepish smiles he had.
Ian G.

what did TGOBM actually mean?
The Ghost Of Brendan McManus I believe.
Ian G.
-
Are you sure?
Craig, TGOBM was Alan Hardy, I actually proved that on JKLatics years ago when we signed Rodney Jack.
