  1. Also good to see that when we did attack we did so in numbers. every cross that went in saw 4 or 5 latics players in & around the box. previously the guy that crossed it would have to run in & challenge for it himself!!
  2. Simple 442 but played much higher up the pitch , Gardner lasted 90 mins cos he played most of the game in their half instead of chasing all over . Nuttall looked a different player with a partner and would love to see him with Norwood , Thought we took a clever breather when York controlled the first 20mins of the 2nd half and denied them creating chances (mainly long range efforts) but once we got the second wind we never looked like losing . Simple like for like subs that threshened up tired areas. Shows that playing a formation that suit the players you have produces much better football . First game I’ve been to that felt good afterwards that we played well and deserved to win.York area good side and won’t finish in bottom half. Still got a problem at RB , Sutton was ok but doesn’t read the game very well and still a lot to learn. With Lundstrum to come in then midfield will look really stronger. A year wasted with Dullsworth but at least we can move on from here with a lot more hope and maybe play off place.
  3. Frank is obviously a smart business man and football like any other business needs customers. 4 S/T holders in my family and I’m the only one going to the next match. The others won’t go again until Unsworth goes .
  4. This saying DU loves the club , what a load of codswallop , we all love the club but it doesn’t make us good managers. I’ve no doubt that he is giving his all to be a manager and wants nothing more to succeed. The problem is that he just isn’t good enough to achieve what he wants to become. Somebody needs to sit down with him and explain to him he’s not got what it takes to be a successful manager and agree a package to say bye bye. Ultimately it will cost the club more in lost revenue than it will in pay offs.
  5. Whilst the Royles are on the scene then DU is going nowhere, as good as Big Joe was remember the last manager he inflicted on us - Sharpe. iF were bottom by Xmas & crowds are down to 3000 then they may start to wonder if it’s not working!!! I fear DU will see out his 3 years unless the players themselves make it clear they no longer want to play for him . The short term future is bleak.
  6. Unfortunately I would say that DU will still be here next season , The only convincing thing he has done is to fool Frank that the job to turn the club around is so huge it will take a few years. He has invested in that future and there is no way they are going to pull the plug now. We could lose the next 5 games and DU job will be safe. The people around him have cocooned themselves into untouchables and unless big Frank sees the light of day then things are looking bleak . Regrettably I think things will have to get to desperation stage - ie bottom 4 at Xmas & crowds of 4000 for Frank to even contemplate doing anything . Frank may have been our saviour (thank you) but don’t let things turn sour by doing what the Royles & others on the management are bad at - Being too stubborn to change things.
  7. Poor subs cost us , thought we played ok 2nd half & after we scored they ran out of ideas. Your right I think he went looking for the third to kill them off but I don’t think anyone would have complained if Raglan had come on instead of Nuttall. To me Nuttalls whole body language says “I don’t want to be here” The one thing DU must do is get the onfield discipline sorted, players getting booked for fouls is part & parcel of football but both Fondop & Shelton started with stupid yellows for kicking the ball away .
  8. How on earth can you set up to stifle a team and catch them on the break with 2 slow strikers on . The manager is a clueless clown.
  9. Anybody that thinks Unsworth is capable of getting this squad promoted is living in dreamland .
