WOLVES AWAY
Over 20 London exiles made the train journey to Wolverhampton to watch Latics take on Wolves in the 3rd round of the FA cup. This was the biggest gathering of OASIS members so far this year and the songs, the beer, the world famous Virgin train sandwiches flowed all day long.
After meeting up with our Cardiff branch member(S) we headed to the ground (after making sure we took in a few of the local brews) in time for kick off.
The game was well balanced for the first twenty minutes then a well placed Warnie shot sent the travelling blue army crazy!! One nil OLDHAM.
Unfortunately two goals for Wolves in the closing stages of the first half sent the Latics into the sheds a goal down.
Shezza certainly worked his magic at half-time as it was a much stronger performance in the second half and this resulted in a great header from the Chris 'Horse' Hall some ten minutes from time to make it two all. Oldham looked the stronger to finding a winner ,with Wellens taking control in midfield, in the closing stages. But it was not to be as it finished a draw and we left the ground to the sounds of "oh when the blues" ringing in our ears.
After a few well earned beers it was time to catch the train home, where strangely enough the beer continued to flow. Many thanks must go to the two Geordie fans on the train home who taught us the correct wording to the 'Keano' song. Who would have thought it that after all these years the wrong words, between bites on prawn sandwiches, were being sung by the Mancs, sorry I mean tourists, down at Old Trafford...

That wasn't very friendly of you Wardle

Seems like there is a great demand for these. I have noted everyones username/email on this and the the JK forum and will contact/post you when I have further details on delivery times, where to find me on match days etc. Hopefully I will have enough to get one to everyone who as reqested so far .... first refusal goes to OASIS members, but I think plenty will be left for everyone else. I may have to increase the amount I order ... but like I said earlier I will keep these scarves exclusive and there will be no more than 50.
I am yet to finalise price (forgot about delivery costs to me)but will be around £7/8. The scarf will blank as any logo etc will make it a little to expensive for both me to order initially as i have to pay up front and to you guys with end price. However I think the majority of people I spoke to prefer it that way and some want to put there own badges on.

If you were with Wardle you sure did !!!!!

I have managed to source a supplier/get costs to get some Latics bar scarves made, these will be in the 'old School' colours of Blue with white and Tangerine bands (link below shows what it will look like). I managed to get hold of one many years ago and at least one person every game asks were they can get them from, so I thought I'd try and get some made.
:thumb08:
I just wanted to see if there was any interest on this site to buy one as I just wanted to know what kind of numbers to order. These will be very limited 30/50 will be made, the cost to anyone interested will be around £7 plain or if there is a demand I can get 'keep the faith' put on which would put the cost up to £8.50/£9.
I would say that most have asked for them to be plain ... myself I have put on 70's Latics patches (a number of these are around to be bought and i can put you in contact with the sellers) which look really cool.

Will there be room for my flags????? If the singers move there I will certainly consider moving from my beloved Chaddy.
I believe the plan is to knock the stand down in May which should allow plenty of time to build a new one.
Found this link the other day regard the new 'Oldham Arena' may be old news and seen before ......

ok my first five tracks are....
The Beat - Mirror in the Bathroom
Cilla Black - Alfie
The Rapture - First Gear
Rifles - Spend a lifetime
Joy Divison - The Eternal

Chaddy for me .... can't get away from it even though I can enjoy the game with better views else way. Sat was my first game using my new season ticket and was sat (stood) in the middle of the singers (no chance of the Stewards getting to me - although no one was asked once to sit down on Sat). Going to move my allocated seat a few seats across as I ended up being surrounded both sides by little Tics' who can be quite annoying at times (although I was like them once).

I'm just borrowing the video clip for the OASIS site ..... honest
