Considering what the club did to Paul Warne I think it would be somewhat hypocritical to pick Porter on the grounds of him screwing us.

 

If we are talking about our own personal choices then I think Peter Clarke has to be well in with a shout, but if we extend beyond our personal opinions I think Lee Hughes would be a popular choice amongst the supporters of many other clubs.

An ageing,past his best,less than prolific striker who wasn`t offered an extension to his contract isn`t really the same as a striker who was banging in the goals for fun who cost the club hundreds of thousands of pounds due to his & his agents greediness.

I would wager Chris Taylor would feature as other team`s most hated player in our division.

In our league its probably Martin Allen,but give it time once Westley has flexed his muscles and is more well known in our division.Certainly in non-league circles Westley and as mentioned above the Crawley manager Steve Evans are despised by many for being first class pricks.

I thought Tom had a superb game,one of our top performers on the night & playing out of position.

Yep,I`ll be in the Midland which is opposite the Central station(about two mins walk from Lime Street statinoaround the corner)early afternoon.There`s plenty of good boozers around this area,I just chose this one as a good starting off point as it sells cheap ale & offers on doubles!

Am sure it'll all be sorted in time for tomorrow's game,but if Wes is still out & Tom isnt back Simpson would probably fill in in the middle,Tarky on the bench.

Agree,I think that's the 11 PD will go with for this game with or without the loanees.IMO the only position up for debate right now is on the right wing & I think Parker will get the nod not only for his attacking play but he'll give better cover defensively for Lee than Scapuzzi or Morais.

 

 

Just because I like the pace of the wide players and will give some protection to Blacky and Lee.

Not looked, but if Matty Robson is one of the out-of-contract lot; I would bloody love us to make a move for him.

 

Would give options all along the left side, and could fill the gap at LB or LM with ease.

Robson always seems to have a good game against us espec when he was at Hartlepool.My Carlisle supporting mate reckons he`s had a poor season this year though.They`re cacking their pants at the moment as most of their better players are out of contract at the end of this season,similarly to ours in Furman,Lee,Taylor & Wes.

There's only one place up for grabs and we're not good enough for it.

 

Only beaten two sides higher than us all season.

 

We need a third central midfielder to cover Furman and Weso (tough tackler, rather than the lightweight Adeyemi). Winchester may be that man.

 

We need a left back who is better than Black (sorry Paul).

 

We need Kuqi to get back in the groove.

 

We need centre halves with more awareness. I don't think Diamond or Clarke are quite good enough to have us competing at the top end of the table.

 

10 sides after that one place. I hope we give it a real go, but I just don't think we've quite got it in us.

I`m unsure about Winchester,but he`s a young lad & only played in a handful of games so will only get better.As for Paul Black,he`s clearly not up to the standard required and needs replacing at the end of this season,harsh but fair I think.IMO Diamond & Clarke are capable L1 centre halves but neither of them are commanding with an air of assurance,say for example the way Gregan was.Reallistically though given our budget we`re unlikely to get someone in much better.I`d be looking at the likes of Michalik at Carlisle at the end of this season,who is one of several of their players out of contract.

Er..Kuqi for the way he had such an immediate impact on & off the pitch,his goals,his attitude,his importance to our style of play,his presence & his intimidating glare!

A Blackpool supporting mate of mine rates him quite highly.Can play wide or as an attacking midfielder in the centre.

Kuqi was awful today and has been the last few times I have seen him play. Why does he play out of position and try doing everything?

 

Very frustrating to watch, when he plays how he wants to play the team loses shape, and makes the 4-4-1-1 formation pretty pointless.

 

Kuqi gets frustrated at the lack of service he gets & often comes deeper for the ball ending in shots from distance which fly high & wide.

We've badly missed Simpson's quality & composure on the ball in the last 3 games IMO.Hopefully a deal for him can be sorted asap.

3,500 tickets sold so far for the Liverpool game according to the lady at the clubshop this morning.14 coaches booked up.

From what I've seen of them recently they seem a bit one dimensional and don't have much of a Plan B if things aren't going their way.That said,I expect us to get a right royal humping.

I love football,Latics every home game & as many away games as I can,more this season with there being more northern teams in our division.I went to see Fleetwood play when Gregan made his debut as Latics were away & would probably go again just to get my footy fix.I also manage a Sunday team so you can say the whole weekend & some nights in-between is devoted to football.

That said,I couldn't give a shiny :censored: about the England team with it's overpaid,overhyped,bed-hopping "stars"

maybe a loan to keep him fit aswell? maybe he could even bring beckham. Anfield and Wembley could tempt him?haha

No doubts of his ability tho even if we could afford his wages I believe we're more than adequately blessed with wingers

It's looking like Taylor and Diamond are out for the Bradford game through injury, whilst Simmo has gone back and Furman out banned. Time for the bench warmers to step up.

I could be wrong but doesn't Simpson go back to Hudds after the Sheff Wed game,therefore meaning he's available to play on Tuesday?

The only games where I have deep regret having missed them were the game where Carlo Corrazin scored four and missed a penalty at home to Wrexham,think we won 5-0 but not sure.The mrs somehow had me by the short and curlies so I ended up shopping that afternoon.The other game was the Scunny away game where Gary Mac scored that late late goal against nine men.Can't remember if it was the winner or an equalizer but I was proper gutted to have missed that game with all the drama.Again I was with the mrs but searching the length and breadth of Kaunas,Lithuania to find a bar with Soccer Saturday on,but to no avail.

If he was to go in January & for as little as between £150k & £250k taking into account the length of his contract remaining I'd have no complaints and also bearing in mind the number of years service we've had from him.Good luck to the lad.

I think it was an improvement on his normal level of performance but still littered with flaws.Against the better sides of the division he gets exposed as our weak link.PD has identified this by signing Diallo,playing Mellor out of position at LB & Kieran Lee there as well so I don't see Black as our LB long term.
