  1. me personally will be attending games with full body armour and protective helmet... blend in with the surrounding outside..
  2. oh yes!!! but i thought he walked everywhere, the tree huggin' bastard?
  3. jesus..need to get away from all this stadium millarky. i seek refuge here! coffee anyone?
  4. i know what your getting at, but i prefer the simple "1-5= -4" solution.
  5. lol...i was in debt when buying my first ever bit of stock...but it was recovered within weeks(?).. definitely not more than 4 weeks. used ebay to get a stepping stone, then invested on the website from my own money saved. i have built it up purely on re-investing profit to expand. now i'm reaping more than investing. year 3 into a 10 year plan-ahead already. not bragging ,its all about forward thinking and a few sacrifices...its seen dead on its arse moments and i can't keep up moments, but in the end its all about keeping the big bad wolf away from the door.
  6. corney to barry in tower.. "there's that bastard who had a pop at me on OWTB in 2007..pass me the rifle.."
  7. glad i don't have a single penny debt on my business then..and never have done. yes we all have debt (eg mortgages) but to re-mortgage,re-mortgage,re-mortgage isn't doing anything but plunging into a darker abyss...it catches up in the end. manu are not even making enough to pay off their interest on their debt each year...even when they won champs league 2008. so..is that a profit making company ?
  8. in my eyes, making a profit to pay your debt isn't profit. however much they paint it.
  9. i wouldn't give a crap if i had a m/cr postcode in downtown royton...as long as my post kept arriving(keep the bills though!) silly argument. fact is its less than half a mile from mancville...that way too close for me. nearer to manchester city centre than oldham town centre too.
  10. wonder what happened to the american lads who said they were flying in from atlanta(?) on the friday?
  11. isn't blackpool's stadium a horseshoe shape? can't find any updated pics..
  12. that fine, but its a shame if AH can say this, then others couldn't ..they are supposed to be singing from the same hymn sheet afterall. in all, we have to stop wading into the romance of how this could look and realise the club AT THE MOMENT is in the :censored: ON THE PITCH. whenever the first brick is layed, you are looking at approx 2 years before a ball is being kicked there. where do TTA want the club to be in 2 years, in this shiny new ground? Div 4?
  13. like that diego.. then powers that be can look down from their brick(ivory) tower upon us mere mortals..
  14. but shouldn't they be at the stage where its 99% finalised and ready to be presented in the final planning stages? half baked job, especially when different sets of figures are being presented to visitors there last night to the same questions asked.
  15. when i asked barry whether they were ACTIVELY seeking help with investment/seeking partners etc he said .. "If you were to ask Simon B he would always tell you they would never turn anyone away with cash. However that party would need to show that they have something to offer and it was in the best interests of the club. The owners have ridden some difficult times at the club and will not just let fans down. It is sad that people do not see the commitment they have. They are true fans and wholly committed. What successful business men would carry such loses if they had no interest in football and lets face it they are successful businessmen. The owners don't activiely seek anyone to sell the club too. In life anything is for sale if people offer enough money." to which i replied... "you can't buy meat from the butchers if he doesn't have a stall." in other words, though in theory it may be up for sale for the right price, to the right type of owner, they aren't ACTIVELY doing it... bit like saying my business at the moment is up for sale and i don't understand why no one has made me an offer..though i don't want to tell anyone its for sale and i've not advertised the fact.
  16. which club has ever shown a TRUE profit in the last 10 years? you don't enter into being a football club owner for profit...
  17. ACTIVELY looking to sell now or waiting till the failsworth move has been completed then actively trying? in the meantime,we could be a very average 4th division club with 3,000 on the gate.
  18. yep,i'd say so too. i'm investing in a pole vault training course as we speak.
  19. having read through lots of reports here, first of all i do agree the stadium looks good. but as also stated..this are only drafts..and phase 2 drafts at that.we very well might not see phase 2 for a very long time. my main concerns are: where latics will be when this is all built..div 4? that TTA have in mind once phase 1 and move is completed..bugger off and tell us"its all yours now..bye"? the "self sufficiency" plans ,and figures ,that TTA keep banging on about . finally i will ask the same questions i asked barry and not really got an yes or no to: are the TTA ACTIVELY looking for help with investment in the club NOW are the TTT ACTIVELY seeking buyers suitable to carry this on NOW. as i say,i like the plan(however vague they still are)i certainly ain't happy about the failsworth move, but these questions above are the crux of this stadium not turning into some white elephant.
  20. cheers OOTB...nice write up. so in theory, heres what we want...but you might not get it.
  21. unfortunately no..i'd love to but its not possible.
