  1. IIRC, TTA bought the pouring rights back off lees, but on condition that they continued to buy stock from lees.
  2. the only real "business sense" it made was because it was a very good deal TTA got to get it knocked down and cleared, along with the clayton arms. wondered why the rugby aren't there anymore?
  3. really? lost revenue in all those fans who stopped going? lost revenue from beer sales, food, programmes, lottery, etc etc? lost revenue from fans who WON'T go AGAIN? mmmm?
  4. cheers for the reply..doing fine thanks. i think the major word in my questions are obviously ACTIVELY. TTA i assume, cannot/will not provide a budget that can challenge as a football team to get promotion from this bloody awful division.whilst stuck on these types of budgets we won't go anyway-except down. TTA on record have constantly criticised the public of oldham for not being at games and giving support..but now the hardcore are wandering. the product on the pitch isn't good enough to entice any type of floating fan...and i don't blame anyone for saying "not going again till it improves".its a vicious circle that can be broken if something is given to the manager to play with...whoever that manager maybe. if we are dealing with a "cutting your cloth..."scenario,then TBH i fear for the future of oldham athletic. hence.why i asked... ACTIVELY seeking new injections of money. ACTIVELY seeking the right buyers. you can't buy meat from the butchers if he doesn't have a stall.
  5. barry, not sure if you caught my question on the first page a few hours back,so just in case: are the owners : 1.ACTIVELY seeking other parties for new injections of cash? 2.ACTIVELY seeking the right buyers at the right price?
  6. must have changed it then since i was last using it(about 18 months ago).. never had any gentle hints to buy of them the full version/upgrades etc. if on BT you get McAfee for free..very good IMO and runs nicely without clogging up everything else.
  7. its a miracle..i'm a believer now!

  10. the moaners are missing ackey now aren't they?!!!!! AMATEURS!
  11. "First time I heard this I didn't think anything of it, but now 4 people who have no connection to eachother whatsoever have informed me that SC alone is the 36th richest business-man in the UK." amazing...not only are there 4 completely independent from each other, but they all stated "36th richest"!!!! do one!
  12. the big yin. i love observational comedy..and he's the master at it. bernard manning/chubby brown..saw them once, both great, saw them both again years later and it was if it was virtually their same act again.see once, don't bother again(try that with manning now!) stan boardman-saw him twice in a week and he was absolute brilliant.another observational comedian, who unfortunately seems to only associated with the "fokker" joke.."the germans bombed our chippy!" on both occasions he started the same act with the same opening 5 mins warm up,but he feeds off the audience for ideas and it completely took a different path after that..it takes guts to not really have an act sorted and planned inside your head everytime you perform IMO. eddie murphy - delirious ...classic...peaked way to early.
  13. i think its time to start discussing other things eh,instead of very publicly going over someone losing their job, who also happens to post here and no doubt is gutted of it all.
