In what was already a good month for the clubs finances say 300k from the Everton game, 100k from the Hudds game and now 500k from Trottman, do we expect Shezz to be given any money to stregthen the team ?

 

I dont expect Shez to have all the money but 300k in this league could attract some quality players, I would love to see Gary Roberts (Ipswich Winger) Jon Parkin (Stoke target man) Both would be quality additions, and this talk of people like Dickov and Hartson, the club in my opinion need to be thinking long term and building a team, after this season neither of those players would bring anything to the club.

i was thinking about the money situation, to be fair shez had money to spend anyway! but it sounds like its the wages he's had a problem with. i dont know if the trotman sale free's up any money for wages but we could have 1 or 2 in tomorrow, fingers crossed eh

Saw him on TV in the Norwich - Ipswich game. Came on as sub and was used basically as a battering ram. To say he was immobile would be an understatement.

Norwich sent him back to west brom after 2 appearances on loan....

unfit and attitude problem were the reasons reported at the time!

When I booked my coach ticket last night just before ko, they only had 12 names on the list. I suppose after the latest win, a few more will be tempted to make the journey. After missing the last two away (to Yeovil and Gills), I hope to see the start of another amazing away win streak beginning with Swans.

BTW, they say no pubs near Liberty admit away fans. Do they serve alcohol inside?

i went last year and stayed over night, i think they were only about 400 of us but it was when everywhere was covered in snow, so nobody knew if the game would be on!

they have bars inside the ground, but a few of us went out on the pop before hand in the town centre! about 10mins from the ground, with one street full of bars and pubs on both sides!!! Winde street i think it was called, worth a visit if you get chance!

wont be able to make it this year due to work, but enjoy the day!

id like to see that jarrett have a go at taking the corners, he seems like he can strike a decent ball.

As much as I like shez, have to agree today. Lomax or Black should have started at left back.

 

Totally agree re taylor on the right, when hes on the left he goes to cut on the inside every single time.

 

And as i said earlier we could have had a front 2 of henry and ronaldiniho and neither would have scored with that service today.

 

Think shez also left it too late before he changed things.

Its funny isnt it...coz when we signed him, i read on other forums wolves fans slaggin him off! "greedy....cant shoot" just some of the words used!

the lad has potential, it was earlier in the season championship and even premiership scouts were watchin him!!

think we are begining to see the reasons why wolves didnt sign him!

the guy who was chased by the police horse got caught on the sheepfoot lane car-park. i saw a huddersfield fan take a right crack on the chin from a police batton after tryin to hit the policeman, outside the RRE.

and the trouble on Rochdale road seemed nasty

Surely he should be on the right side? Our greatest ever goalscorer was a converted striker who went out to the right hand side, ghosting in from the right. Davies has a good touch and pace, but he's crap down the middle. I think he'd make a cracking right sided player. ANyone agree?

he cant cross a ball, we need someone to feed our strikers, i think he looks more dangerous cutting in from the left, shift taylor to the right

its worth it just to get one over on Donny

unless we lose another midfielder i.e Kalala, cant see us going for him, or maybe he's quite creative? i also see he's a regular off the bench for them in the championship, will they let him leave on loan?

Played in the Sheffield Derby today, was brought on and had a good game, set up their 2nd goal and should of bagged one himself, cant see him signing for us if he is in Laws plans...

theres a video of when he was at southend on the virgin media site, sum guy asked if he was staying at southend and he said they were discussing personal terms....he was then asked if he was going back to sheff wednesday to which he replied " il never go back to sheffield wednesday"

although he is back there now, the fans dont like him and its only due to injurys why he's in the team, like someone said previously, he'll move towards the end of the window, although with his wages, i dunno if it will be to us

That Mike Ashley has a lot of fans to keep happy, he's got money so its not really an issue. Must have a replacement lined up as the new manager will want to strengthen during the window...Houllier or someone like that, as long as they keep away from our Shez lol

This might just be from my experience but the Everton fans were possibly the nicest opposition fans I've met.

Me and everyone else I was with had to walk back to the car amongst the Everton fans and on about 5 seperate occasions, some of them just stopped when they noticed that me and my cousin had Oldham shirts on and promptly walked over to congratulate us on a superb win and none of them showed any bitterness towards us, whereas fans of other clubs would have grasped the oppertunity to shout abuse at us.

yeah i had to walk back to the car park in stanley park (£8!!!!!! daylight robbery) had my shirt on and had people saying 'well done' and 'hope you get a good draw', i was a little suprised they let us out at the same time as there was 5500 of us, but no problems at all....i have read on some of the football ground review sites that they are one of most welcoming clubs/fans in the prem.
