I attended one game last season. Liverpool. I had a ticket for Everton at home and gave it to my nephew to stay out on the booze with mates.

I didn't go to many more, though not all just down to apathy, it's amazing how a winning team can make you that little bit more determined to ; find a babysitter, miss the pub, borrow some cash, ask your boss for some time off...etc

You missed out on the Everton game - for me the atmosphere in the RRE was very special. Right up there with best gigs, the best football matches, eveything for me....

Did you know the awesome Clive Allen (highest valued player on Team Tactix ) ended up at Palace after being swapped for Kenny Samson. Arsenal had paid 1.25m for Allen and he only played in a couple of friendlies for them before the swap.

Samson is in the papers today allegedly saying he's better off dead as he's can't stop drinking and has blown all his money on booze and gambling.

Both times I've been best man the groom has bought the suits and let me keep them.

I did a 'parkrun' race yesterday. Only 5k but a good little blowout. It's free and you get timed. Good to mix it up and throw something different into your training every now and then.

Haye wins, too fast, too powerful. He'll just keep ambushing Fury from the outside until he topples, which will be within 5 rounds IMO.

Not a fan of Haye or Fury - both their boxing abilities and their media personalities - but looking forward to their fight in Sept. Fair play to Fury for taking the fight cos I can see him getting knocked out early.

You've gotta be worried for Clev with the way Sergy demolished that Cornelius lad recently, but you never know. I like that Sergy doesn't have a tight guard, leaves his chin high and is often as straight as a stick...likes his right-hand lead maybe a bit much as well...tough tough ask though...he glides about and hits so hard.

Me too.I love it - wish I had more time to keep fit. I like to do some sort of training everyday but work, kids etc. Some people find running boring, but, ironically, to me running's a great way to get away from the monotony of day to day :censored:..get them endorphins going.....and rain or hot sun make it more fun.

I have actually run on a beach, in Playa Flamenca last year, but it was a smallish beech and I got sick of running back and forth the same stretch, so nowt like an 8k. Snow's a :censored:er and works yer core...just gotta be careful on it haven't you...

Eubank Jnr goes on about the pebbled Brighton beach.

I think I've got mixed up with the half marathon which seemed to have had a similar name and run by the same people ? The 10k is supposed to be a less hilly and easier route.

Not bothered with it in the end, but my garmin forerunner has arrived so will be putting in the miles again soon...

I don't have the need for a sticker, and nor should anyone over the age of ten, but that's very nice.

Not too sure the lads at casual connosseiur would be happy, but it's only what they're doing I suppose.

Froch would blow Groves away in the first round if he wanted. Groves is a good fighter but he's not got the chin to be in with the top top boys.

Had a small bet on a draw, and secretly hoped for another war with Kessler edging it, but Froch proved he has got better since their last fight. He's ugly and slow, but when he does connect you know about it, and his chin is something else.

Amazing fall from grace - just a few years ago he was the main man, and although not exactly loved by those in the fight game, he could still pretty much take the pick of the top young British fighters. What's gone wrong ?
