  1. OK 742 members on OWTB. A tenner each should cover it more or less if we can get the usual 70 or so to reply. And if a few are more generous then colour too. I'll start off the collection bag by throwing in a tenner. If it's a goer maybe the Mods will start a new thread for us?
  2. That's right. We have to allow these councillors room to save face - dreadful though that sounds. Yes even Cllr Bashforth. It's no good backing them into a corner. Didn't someone say politics is the art of the possible? Bill Shankly probably.
  3. Eternity FC. Oh yes there is! It's in one of those Sunday School leagues. Here's the current squad They play at Bracknell in the Thames Valley Churches League. And they're playing Reading Family Church this weekend. Should be a tight match.
  4. Zion Athletic - 2nd division of the West Midlands Churches Football League Mission statement: "To enable Christian and non-Christian men alike to participate in a capably organised league in a manner, both on and off the field of play, that is morally, decently and ethically sound of action and speech and is honouring to the name of Jesus Christ." That sounds just like us!
  5. Youth 2000 - from the Spen Valley Sunday School League, levels 14 & 15 in the Pyramid! Oh, this is fun. Anyone else playing?
  6. Xavier University Football Team - well I've got to do something while I wait for my Advertiser to arrive
  7. Victoria Croftfoot FC (This is getting easy! They play in the Strathclyde Evangelical Churches League) Don't miss their away match at Greenview Evangelical Church this Saturday - well it's nearer than Bournemouth.
  8. Thame United (I used to live there - Oxfordshire)
  9. St Joseph's AFC, Swansea (Swansea Sunday School League)
  10. Any idea how to use them on a Mac?
  11. And a brief mention on the Telegraph's website in the League One round-up: Scroll down for report
  12. Did you see this one? Another good report in the M.E.N. Three great photos too. Click here for article and pics.
  13. How about trying to break a Guinness world record? At the Coliseum we got coverage in the Chron last week when we tried to break the world record for eating baked beans in 3 minutes - not exactly rocket science. So what could we try? Record number of people standing in a football league ground's centre circle? Number of Pukka pies eaten in 3 minutes? Number of goals scored simultaneously from edge of penalty area? Number of protestors inside a council planning office? Record number of keepy-uppies? Record number of people doing keepy-uppies on a football league pitch? Or - the first horse-drawn snowcart inside the Latics ground (or would we need planning permission for that?) And whatever we do, have the same banner/placard in the press pictures to drive the point home.
  14. Yes - me too! And is the moonwalking slide a suggestion for the next march? It will certainly keep us on the front page.
  15. Some brilliant ideas already. Keep them coming. Admins - you may wish to merge this thread with I_C's "Hold the Front Page" about Royton South.
  16. Next time you speak, please tell him not all the fans are against him. Tell him that we expect him to improve, that we detest the boo-boys who won't give him a chance, that we are pleased to see Shez giving him a chance, and that he must keep his head up. Tell him that there are hundreds of us who are for him.
