  1. Hopefully the march will have put us on the front page of the Chron (and other media organs) on Monday. But we need to be there on Tuesday, and Wednesday, and so on. By Tuesday the march is old news, so we need a media event on Monday. We need to keep it in the council's face. Any ideas? Can anyone with media savvy suggest how we get continuing coverage? We have to show the councillors that we are not going to let it go. And we have to show TTA that a large part of the town is behind them. Then, we hope, a compromise solution will be found that leaves the plans largely intact, but allows the councillors to make a show of having saved face. So any ideas? We probably can't get 1,000 people together again that quickly, but we need to keep the momentum going, not just let it slip back. Can the Trust help? Any celebs who will do something for us?
  2. It's always the same with megaphones; you wait years for one, and then two come along at once.
  3. When you have a moment to spare, do a Google on "proudly maladministered". The results will amaze you. Shome mishtake shurely?
  4. Is there an easy way of picking up all the relevant email addresses? Thanks.
  5. Pushing this back up to the top of the board. This is important. BE THERE!!! 12.45pm Saturday. Oh and keep it clean. Keep the Faith!
  6. Sorry. I was praying. For years I lived darn sarf, and because of the nature of my job I could only manage nearby away matches - Oxford, Posh, Cambridge, Layer Rd, Kenilworth Rd and so on. My son and I used to love the atmosphere. I remember one particularly wet day at Oxford, just before they closed the old ground in Headington: soaked, huddled in a corner and singing our hearts out. But since we moved back to Oldham we have been disappointed with the atmosphere at home matches. Too much moaning, too little singing - and the booing of our own players, well I could hardly believe it. Having said that I thought the Chaddy's singing on Saturday was magnificent. I'm in the Horner's Upper with all the moaners, and we could hear it there better than ever this season, and probably better than most of last too. So, well done lads! Keep the Faith. I'll be singing my heart out on Tuesday night, but unfortunately in a show in Rochdale - Annie! Tickets at all prices still available Oct 2nd-6th.

  15. 217 for 2 now and required run rate dropping all the time! So you could be right. What a final day for the cricket season.
