  1. You seem to be missing the point. I don't mind a player getting a :censored: when he cocks up consistantly. My point is this. I do not believe Sheridan has the support of the dressing room. (A personal opinion), which I have formulated as a result of watching how the players react to his rantings from the touchline. He does not encourage or applaud the good stuff. He merely rants and tants for the 90 minutes. Thats not old school. Its pathetic.

  2. Todays performance put the lid on it for me. I couldn't believe it when Smalley got MOM. Allott is and has been the most consistant performer on the pitch. He was actually brilliant at times today in the second half. especially in the conditions.

    Allott by a mile.....

  3. You wouldn't have thought so from the reaction of our Management team. The abuse hurled at the players again by Sheridan today was disgusting. I could not believe what he called gary Mc... who was one of the best players on the park. The Chaddy enders need to hear what he says to a group of young players who are still learning in many respects. Today was the last straw for me. To hear the crowd singing his name when he was calling Allessandra a Wa**er was unbelievable. We would be better off without him. It took him all his time to shake Lewis' hand as he came off and that was only due to many fans screaming at him to do so. The lad had just scored his first senior goal ffs. I'd rather have Philliskirk as Manager....

  4. That's refreshing to hear, I'd like to thing Shez has the players' respect.

    ]

From the looks that some of the players were shooting in Sheridans direction. I don't believe he has the respect of many of the players at all. Even Crossley was questioning his tactics at one point.

  5. I've said this before on a similar thread. What do we expect the players to do when they read something like this. Some of them do actually read this forum. They will be well up for playing when they read half of the fan base want rid of them. The time for this kind of discussion is when the season is over IMO. I don't think this encourages anybody to play their hearts out for us does it?

  6. I've never used it, but there is indeed some freeware out and about... I too will try and find out what it is for you mate.

Thanks very much. She will be very grateful. Careful now she's only 15......

  7. 'told you I'd be back!

It also breaks the shortcut links you already have!

And makes you agree to all the T's&C's again!!!

    ARGH!

My daughter has the Ipod but she can no longer download any music. The player won't download anymore. it's crap. Ecery time I try tor reinstall the software it creates an error message. Is there any way round Itunes to put music on the Ipod?

  8. Temporary Bandwagon Merchant In Search of Media Attention during 'Pinch Me' season. Now, if only I could make that into a humourous acronym I'd be onto something...

    TBMISA... TeBaMISA... Oh *** it!

He was queing up in front of me for s ticket for the Huddersfield cup game. Still comes to some games. Saw him in Lees a few years ago with a broken down tvr sports car.

  9. My opinion on Football Managers per se is this. They all show loyalty to their employer until such time as a better offer comes along. Thats life.

However for us football fans.... This option is not open to us. We are stuck (in a nice way) with the club we support. For Life... This opinion applies as much to Sheridan and Wright at the Tics. I'm not saying that it is a bad thing. It's market forces of supply and demand.

I don't think we need to worry about Sheridan going anywhere in the near future though. But if a better offer came in to him he'd be off like a shot.

  10. :lol::laught16::laught16::applause1:

the reality is that because the game was a champions league fixture, Eufa have jurisdiction and will conduct any inquiry. Latics on the other hand come under the Fa for the cup incident and we all know how efficient they are. Grass roots football can't get a grant of £1000.00 for new showers but they will pay a foreign manager £6,000,000 for our national team to fail again. Ah Well......

  11. I feel I have to take issue with the posters who seem to think it's ok to post profanity on OWTB. I personally don't swear in front of my Kids and don't let them do so either. To me swearing is something you do with your peers in situations where it is appropriate. We have a beautiful language which doesn't need obscenities. This is of course a personal view point. I am also a democrat who, whilst I might not agree with the majority will fight to the death for it's right to speak. My Kids are encouraged to read the posts on here and I accept that they hear worse stuff every day at school. Maybe it's an attempt to keep some sort of control over their lives. Sad I may be, but profane I am not.

  12. I bet you've just got 4 pairs as well Terry. Clearly marked Spring; Summer; Autumn and Winter! <_<

    :)

I have four different colours now. White (Well grey now) for Winter. Green for spring. Yellow for Summer and Red for autumn. You always know where you are with Colour Co-ordination. One pair of each can be worn four different ways.... You only need four pairs. Why Women can't see that when they are packing to go on holiday is beyond me. But that is opening a whole new can of worms!!!!

  13. I try to wear the same pair of boxer shorts for the next game after we have won. They do get washed though. I thought I'd struck gold after we won at Everton but the luck didn't last. I'm still thinking of having them framed though in tribute to that great day at Goodison. Maybe they can make a reappearance next time we play at a Premier League ground?

    "

In my case. I throw them at the wall. If they slide down they go back on. If they stay stuck then they probably need a wash. I stress the word probably.......

  14. I've developed quite a few superstitions recently. Everytime I've not worn a Latics shirt we've lost (Blackburn away 91, the 7-1 Cardiff game and the Huddersfield game this season) so I'm wearing a shirt for evermore (until we win and i forget it that is).

Last season i got a new shirt for xmas but we went on a bad run then I wore both my previous shirt and my newer one and we starting winning again so I currently wear 2 shirts.

Against Leeds I had an ear infection so wore my mum's beanie (i couldn't find my woolie hat) and my hoodie with the hood up. I was wearing both for the entire game apart from the first minute of the second half, did the same for the Everton game and as a result been doing the same ever since (until i'm at a game where we loose- and i've not forgot my shirt) so if you see an idiot in a beanie in the middle of roaring temperature you'll know its me.

I'm surprised they let you in. A BEANIE and a HOODIE. You must have several ASBOs

  15. He had Charlton last season too and looked a lot more settled. In a similar way as you say another winger on the other side would help him out but also Eardley who has no genuine winger in front of him.

He should push on to the full backs shoulder though

Hooray. Someone with a realistic memory.

When taylor has the support of a full back who is prepared to overlap him he becomes a better, not different player. I saw that with Bertrand who liked to bomb on past Chris. If Livermore gets a run at full back then this relationship could develop again. I saw glimpses of it on Satdi.

Taylor also took it on himself to wander across to the right occasionally and scored from the right hand side two weeks ago.

Taylor entertains.. which to my mind is what it's all about. It will be a sad day when he is dropped because he doesn't always get past his man or the cross is poor. There are poorer players in this division and on the TICS team who are shoe ins each week.. He lights up the pitch and the faces of the kids when he gets the ball. Give him a break and a chance!!! Put him on the right Sheridan....

  16. I took my Dad to see Oldham play Doncaster in December. This is a Man who is Latics through and through and has been since the late 40's. He sat there and watched the game when we drew 1-1. He said at the end. "Well I see they've gone backwards then. I don't think I want to come and watch that kind of football again." That is the problem. When the fare served up on the pitch is to a suitably high standard, and is consistantly so. People will be happy to come to BP. It is down to the club to ensure they have the playing staff to entertain the fans. It is nothing to do with the admission prices. They are comparable to many other entertainment venues and are even better value than some. There is also the question of comfort. The new ground may answer this issue. The knee room in the MS is atrocious but sit anywhere else other than the Chaddy and your'e open to the elements. Whether it be rain coming in sideways or blinding sunlight as was the problem for many sat in the Lookers on Saturday. My suggestion would be a family ticket. Two adults and two kids for £50.00. That would possibly address Inspirals issues re his Kids and could encourage familys to come together.

I also think DS is preaching to the converted but if each season ticket holder talked one non attender into going along for one Saturday that would almost double the size of the crowd.
