  1. Ridiculous.

To ensure segregation? Well I can guarantee the league game won't be made all ticket so why should the Cup game? It's not like Hudders are going to sell all 4,600 seats so there's no need for their fans to come into the home stands.

All this does is bring the crowd down because people who may choose to turn up on the day will be dissuaded by the fact that it's all ticket.

I don't for one minute think the club want this game to be all ticket, surely they can just point out to the Police we haven't had a segregation problem before for pay on the day league games and the Cup should be no different.

  2. The prices do need to be dropped a tad, I really can't see there being twice as many 'Tics at BP for Hudders than there were for Crewe and Donny, which is what people seem to be thinking we will if we're going to hit 10k.

Drop the prices a bit and more will come...we have a big chance here to make it to the 5th round of the cup, let's get as many in as possible.

  3. QPR playoff game wasn't quite a sell but it was more than 10,000 though. The Exact figure was 12,152

QPR would have sold out but we only got given the small section of the RRE the day before the game, the rest of the ground was full. Blackpool wasn't even sold out in the rest of the ground. Sorry, claims that we'll sell out for Huddersfield are way wide of the mark.

  4. Can't sleep, still buzzing!

Noone at home because away games are more fun, and because the way we play at home, we'd follow up a win at Everton with a loss to Havant and Waterlooville at BP...

    So...

    Newcastle away

    Derby away

    Spurs away

    Liverpool away

    Arsenal away

    Sheffield Utd away

    Watford away (not sure why)

    Failing that...

Mansfield away (close to Nottingham and seemingly easier passage through to 5th round)

Nightmare scenario would be someone like Swansea at home. I certainly don't want a L1 team.

  5. I perhaps may have been best pointing out that was extreme sarcasm given the treatment people were dishing to Kilkenny after they found out. It's meant to show the hypocrasy that some Latics fans are suffering with considering Berty's done just about the same thing as Kilkenny.

My only gripe with Kilkenny is that it's Leeds he's gone to, which is something that obviously, and fair enough, means nothing to him.

  6. That's twice Latics have helped out Kilkenny's career. In the close season he was bleating to come back here so he could escape reserve team football. Latics gave him his wish, the fans sung his praises and played to his ego. Now where is he when the club tolds him we'll build a team around you and here's the money to prove it? gone that's what, well that's the last time Neil. You better hope it all works out.

Bang on, though I don't think I'd be feeling like this if it wasn't that place he was going to.

    I bloody hate Leeds.

  7. even if we did, they've not let him play in any other cup games so far.

might want to see how he fares against prem opposition though, maybe?

That's so he isn't cup tied if they do offload him. If we renew his loan to the end of the season one would assume he'd be allowed to play.

  8. Well Killer knows the club want him, from the reaction the fans gave him at the final whistle it's clear to him we want him as well. Hopefully we can persuade him to take our lesser offer, or seemingly get his parents to persuade him to!

I have a feeling we'll renew Berty's loan...the rumours about him going to Leicester were when Mourinho was in charge at SB and Megson at the Walkers. With two new managers in it could be a different story. Fingers crossed as well that if we do renew his loan we can do it before Saturday.

  9. Nobody is saying he hasn't got talent that is plain to see. What people are saying he needs to use his talent more effectively and stop thinking he his Billy Big Balls he is very similar to Wellens, Wellens was exactly the same as KK is now. Get the basic things right and then when we are in control of the game and 2/3 up he can then try his fancy stuff. We dont need any fancy stuff we need somebody who is willing to bring the team together with his play, not play for himself and play as a individual.

My comments were in response to those saying it would be no great loss if he went to Doncaster. It would be a huge loss.

  10. Wait until he's gone to Donny and we don't have shot on target against Brighton.

    'Shez never replaced Wellens'

    'Allott's useless'

'Kalala get out, you're not fit to wear the shirt'

Kilkenny makes us tick, when he plays well, we play well. When he doesn't we don't. Just because he has bad games and an ego doesn't mean we should kick him out. If he goes in January then we're in serious trouble.

  11. 2500 spare seats in the home end? You are avin a giraffe

    KOTK

My thoughts exactly. From where I was sat in the Lookers Upper, the Main Stand Upper looked full, the Paddock was pretty full, Lookers Upper itself was rammed and the Chaddy looked very busy as well. Unless the Lookers Paddock was empty I fail to understand where all the empty seats were.

  12. January 1st (Can play against Leeds I believe)

So if we renew Bertrand's loan after all, Chelsea will have no reason not to allow him to play in the FA Cup for us. But the fact he hasn't played in it so far suggests he won't stay.

It is unlikely Berty will stay, but IIRC the reason he wasn't allowed to play originally was because Chelsea were apparently planning on shipping him off to Leicester in January. Since then Megson has left and Olly has come in...if the new manager doesn't want him then hopefully Chelsea will allow him to finish the season at BP.

It's also vitally important if we are going to renew Kilkenny's loan that we do it before the Everton game. Aren't the rules that if he's on a one month loan then he can't be recalled immediately but any longer and there's a 24 hour recall? Or maybe it's the other way round. Whichever it is, it would be nice for Alex McGleish to do us a favour and let us renew his loan with a 24 hour recall in case they seal a permanent deal for him elsewhere.
