  1. For anyone who is interested this is PD's mini league after the 27th & 28th game (round 2) After a 5-0 scoreline last game, my interest is already beginning to fade Round 2.........Pts GD Stevenage.......6 3 Chesterfield....6 2 Colchester......6 2 Hartlepool......4 4 Sheffield Wed...4 2 Charlton........4 1 Huddersfield....4 1 Notts County....4 1 Sheffield Utd...3 2 Bournemouth.....3 0 Rochdale........3 0 Wycombe W.......3 0 Yeovil..........3 0 Scunthorpe......3 -1 Carlisle........3 -3 Oldham Athletic.3 -4 MK Dons.........2 0 Exeter..........1 -1 Tranmere........1 -1 Walsall.........1 -1 Bury............1 -3 Brentford.......0 2 Leyton Orient...0 -3 Preston NE......0 -3
  2. The 27th game for all the teams is the first round of the PD mini league In Carlisle's 27th game of the season they lost 4-0 to Charlton The game against MK Dons is their 30th game, therefore that result will show up in round 4. This game is the Latics 28th, therefore the result shows in round 2 MK Dons GD is 0 because they drew their 27th game against Sheff Wed. Walsall's 27th game was against 1-1 draw against Carlisle (Carlisle 26th game so not part of the mini league)
  3. With PD talking about having a mini league for the last 20 matches before the Walsall game got me thinking of tracking how the team will go in their “mini league”. So starting at game 27 (as round 1) for all teams. I drew up a league table, and I thought I would post it after every round has been completed. Below is round one. Wycombe top! Early days, don't worry. They lose 5-2 in round 2. Round 1 Pts GD Wycombe W 3 3 Charlton 3 2 Stevenage 3 2 Bournemouth 3 1 Chesterfield 3 1 Colchester 3 1 Huddersfield 3 1 Oldham Ath 3 1 Exeter 1 0 Hartlepool 1 0 MK Dons 1 0 Notts County 1 0 Sheffield Wed 1 0 Tranmere 1 0 Walsall 1 0 Brentford 0 -1 Sheffield Utd 0 -1 Yeovil 0 -1 Leyton Orient 0 -2 Preston NE 0 -2 Scunthorpe 0 -2 Bury 0 -3 Rochdale 0 -3 Carlisle 0 -4 and if anyone knows how to paste a numbers/excel table into this post, I would much appreciate the info as the list looks hopeless in the preview
  4. Hopefully his goals are like busses
  5. G'day otid, You are just down the road from me, I live in East Burwood. Liverpool & Arsenal TV is on channel "One", usually early in the morning eg Arsenal TV at 2.30am on Jan 2, & Liverpool on at the same time on Jan 3. Check the green guide if you have it. There is quite a lot of old English football on this channel in the early hours. I search for "football" on the PVR in the coming week, and skip through the results and record the Arsenal & Liverpool TV and watch it later. I will be up early on the 7th listening to LP, and hopefully going mental!
  6. We get Liverpool TV & Arsenal TV on free to air in Australia, but not live. The games are usually shown one or two days later, so looking forward to watching the Liverpool game, then the game against Arsenal when we meet them in the 4th round. Well I can dream can't I? Melbourne Victory would be nice in the 5th round, Oh! err... now I AM dreaming.
  7. What a turn around on loan players on this board is from a few years ago. A few years ago this board was complaining how useless it was to have loan signings. Now look at the board. I put it down to PD. He has picked good loan players, and more importantly, made them feel like part of the club. We are mid table and on a bit of a cup run, but these loan players seem to want to stay, not for the money (if there is any), but to be part of Oldham Athletic 2011/12. I get the feeling they enjoy being here, and want to be able to say in the future “I was part of Oldham Athletic when they won the JPT, and knocked out Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea out of the FA cup”....... I think I have had too much wine, Goodnight
