  1. Today's result underlines how important it is to get the -10 overturned, it could take ages to get those ten points back, because I just can't see where our goals will come from.

Today was a terrible game with two terrible teams and a terrible ref, but although we deserved nothing for our performance I thought we were unlucky to lose because Oldham deserved even less.

My marks out of ten this week ...

Andersen 6 Not much to do but his kicking was poor.

Dumbuya 6 I like his pace but he needs to vary his game and not try beating people every time when a simple pass is on. Did not deserve MOM.

Ertl 4 Not impressed , surprisingly uncomfortable on the ball for someone who also plays midfield. And the own was not bad luck it was bad play.

Connolly 6 OK game but I hope Thompson / Long will be the first choice pairing.

    Harley 6 Got forward well

Walker 5 Looked out of his depth for first half hour but improved

Russell 5 Obviously not fit, little impact on the match

Howard 7 At least he looked like he cared, and drove the team forward well in the 2nd half. Just edged MOM for me.

Crompton 6 looks good on the ball and some good crosses but out of the game for long periods

Obita 5 Should have scored early on and that cost us the game. Unlucky to get a red card but he shouldn't have reacted at all really.

McLeod 4 No threat on goal at all.

Harris 7 Looked very bright and lifted the team.

    Rogers 6 one good shot.

All in all losing to the worst team seen at Fratton in a league match for 30 years or so is pretty depressing, but at least we had a game to watch.

  2. Bit of a random one but has anybody been to Barbados and know of a place to watch sky sports?

Iv missed the City game and don't wanna miss the Sheff Wed match

Yes, I've been to Barbados a couple of times, Holetown in 1989 and again 10 years later to Speighstown which is a little further north but I can recommend both.

Since you're from Rochdale a great place to watch Sky Sports would be the Cemetery Pub at the junction of Bury Rd and Sandy Lane as its renouned for the quality of their beers.

  3. Go to away games and look out for the talentless fool in clubs attire struggling to return a pass correctly.....

There is a running joke in the Main Stand Lower where a few lads shout to him just what do you...even he cant reply...

When I first clocked him I thought he was Mark Crossleys son - it was just how he sucked up to him as someone who looked about thirteen, hanging around the tunnel having a crack with anyone who would bother with him.

But then he would show up all over BP with a walkie talkie wearing a suit and eyeballing the crowd from 2.40 ish to just after Kick off!

Next news is he's warming up at Anfield as if he's one of the subs......then Lois Best tells me he's a YTS trainee the club have taken on - "he was a ball boy not too long ago!"

Louis gets the boot and now we hear young Billy is signing autographs! Work that one out.

I didn't mean you specifically Sly, I just happened to reply to your post rather than hollandspies (who used the words 1st CLASS liar). Yes, yes it was used perhaps in a dubious attempt at humour, but he also accused Matt of talking bollocks.

No over-reactions here, just pointing out that if his source was incorrect, it doesn't make him a liar.

    #knickerscompletelyuntwistedasusual

Yes Dan, I admit it was a dubious attempt at humour, but to be fair he was talking bollocks since he'd just bet one of his testicles on some fact or other.....

Matt, apologies if I caused offence.

  5. But i think there is more in the coffers RE the playing budget than Corney and Dickov make out and the figures that our top earner will be on £1200 a week max is way off, now i dont know the details of Crofts deal in terms of wage sharing with Derby but id bet my left testicle he is on a lot more than £1200 a week as would Furman and Simmo be.....

    Interesting....

This might be a difficult one for you Postman Matt but would you bet your RIGHT testicle that Tom Taiwo has signed for us as you prophesised earlier with a "done and dusted to be announced on Monday'' DELIVERY? Have you any more little gems left in your SACK?

Or are you a 1ST CLASS Liar?

Oh well, it's confirmed..... You've just been talking BOLLOCKS.

  6. Gary Jones signed for them yesterday which seemed to happen so quickly it must have come from an offer he couldn't refuse?

Has something similar has just changed Robbie's mind despite all the positives last week from the rarely wrong?

Apparantly, Kuqi, M'Changama, Morais and Diallo all have interviews there tomorrow.

Deane Smalley was hoping for one but hasn't heard anything yet.

  7. yeah happened to me last home game....took my nephew on...

    still dunno who it was

Arrived in Chaddy at 2.50pm with my 4 yr old in a home shirt......had pics and autographs with Phillipe, Robbie and Deano, he was absolutely made up! Great day and such a positive feeling around BP through the game and at the F Whistle.....bring on Tuesday and more of the same...

  8. Cisak, Lee, Mvoto, Tarkowski, Mellor, Taylor, Adeyemi, M'whatshisname, Bunn, Simpson, Kuqi

Bench; Bouzanis, Diallo, Tounkara, Brown, Winchester

    3-1 win!

I think they deserve to start unchanged from Tuesday, particularly after a clean sheet.....and with a very strong bench of: Bouzanis, Diallo, Tarky, Simmo and Tonk to really freshen things up if necessary.

  9. everyone needs to cheer up on here, we're not a bad side. he's a good young manager, and we've got half the team out. we did lose today but did we play that bad?

Yes, I though we were awful. Wide open at the back time and again and too lightweight in midfield. If we were tougher and tighter in those two areas we would naturally be more of a threat going forward. Sadly with the personnel we currently have available, I can't see any immediate improvement. 3 wins required, heaven help us!
