  1. Crossley, Pogliacomi, Gregan, Livermore, Allott, Liddell, Alessandra, Davies, Hughes - Thompson (bench yesterday), Jarret (played for 33 minutes), PLUS Kilkenny, Bertrand - an injury list to rival most I think. So where was Lewis yesterday? How long is Allot out for? And when will Hughes and Davies return? Anyone know? It may be too late for the play-offs I feel but it would be good to get some of them back and playing before the end of the season huh?
  2. Great Fans at Luton - similar to the decent Latics mob - Bedfordshire Yeoman before the game I think
  3. Interesting statistic in the programme on Saturday. Comparison of the last two seasons (Shez at BP versus Ronnie at PP): Shez PLAYED 81 WON 34 DRAWN 23 LOST 24 FOR 111 AGAINST 79 Ronnie PLAYED 82 WON 32 DRAWN 23 LOST 27 FOR 98 AGAINST 88 Not bad for fledgling Manager huh?
  4. I agree 100% - from now on it's going to be positive support - even if we miss out on the play-offs
  5. I think that Wolfy is getting better and better - expect him to feature as a sub this season -then outon loan to Rochdale next beforemaking his breakthrough - as for Constantine not sure
  6. Looks like we will have a new loanee for tonight's game - any ideas? http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1256369,00.html
  7. Obviously I have touched a nerve with you Johnny - by now you have probably reread your original post and realized that perhaps it was a little lame - you jumped to criticize some for daring to post a suggestion on a forum - not claiming to know better than Shez, merely suggesting an alternative. You then used a lame and frankly derogatory comment about working in McDonalds. We all have opinions and we are all entitled to our own - shame that your's is so lame - ah well - keep on jogging and jogging - probably on your own...
  8. HA! You thought you had me there for a minute Johnny - but you see I didn't say that you were not allowed an opinion just that your world must be a sad place if no-one was allowed an opinion. You see - in my world you are allowed an opinion - in fact the more the merrier. So mnnna mnnna too! I am jogging though a little out of breath..
  9. Hey Johnny - I think that you live in a sad world where no one is allowed an opinion or is allowed to even suggest an option for an alternative formation. No-one is claiming to know better than Shez merely posting a thought or two on a forum that is designed for exactly that purpose. You sad muppet..
  10. You must have watched a different game to me - Jarrett was woeful yesterday - his passing for 70% of the time he was on the pitch was abysmal - he constantly gave the ball away and only late on did he seem to catch up withthe game. Anyone else believe that he is carrying a niggling injuryand that is what iseffecting his play?
  11. Having seen the lads at Brizzle on Tuesday and at home today, I think a slight change would improve effectiveness going forward: Lomax in at Left Back Livermore Left Wing Taylor Right Wing Jarrett rested...
  12. Got to agree with that - Allott was MOM today with Eardley (yes) not far behind. Alessandra needs a goal and he will come on a storm I reckon. As for Jarrett - he had a 'mare today and I really think he looks like he is carrying an injury as wellas not being match fit. Good to win comfortably though - make the long drive back a much nicer experience
  13. I'll be there but am waiting to hear if I have a complimentary - if so I'll stand or sit for free!
  14. I read somewhere that from this Thursday Football League clubs can take on loan players for up to a maximum of three months - does anyone know if this can be extended should a club reach the play-offs?
  15. Stam - decent player - ocassionally does get caught out of position and does not posess blistering pace - but he has played well alongside Gregan, alongside Trotman and latterly alongside Hazell - the question for me is who would be the first choice centreback pairing when both Gregan and Thompson are fully fit? Gregan and Stam for me - Hazell as first choice cover and finally- To sell Trotman was a mistake in my opinion but then again the way Trotman has been viewed by Shez mystifys me (only brought in when he was absolutely forced to and then to only hand the guy a short term contract )
  16. I would look at clubs like Walsall, Leyton Orient, Trampmere from a locationperspective - edge of big cities, always having to live withthepull of the bigger clus etc. But from a spirit and culture? Definitely Luton for me too - and they have a decent set of fans, good crack in the pub before the game when we are down there.
  17. Let's get things into perspective huh? Not everyone who crticises Shez for some of his inexperience is calling for his head - there are a few I grant you but far more of us will give him time as he needs to learn - the problem is that this is a success driven game and yesterday was another example of a missed opportunity for the team (the team not Shez) to show the fans that they can play - they failed to do so. So ultimately the finger is pointed back at the management but once again too many players let us and themselves down - if we had a bigger squad then Shez would have more options but at the moment we don't and he doesn't. Too many players are too inconsistent (McDonald and Davies) and a number of them are so lacking in confidence (Smalley and Taylor) - however good management, really good management is all about making the best of what you have got. Is Shez doing that?
  18. I love it - Black needs a chance as does Pearson and others - but Tuesday is against a decent Carlise team. Stam is getting better each gameand brings a great composure alongside Trotman - so the only change to the back four should be Lomax in for Hazell with Black on the bench as cover. Then we seriously need to only play two of Allot, Kalala and McDonald to allow for two wide players (where are you Andy Liddell?) so it would be Allott and McDonald with Smalley (last chance saloon) and Taylor (similarly) with Hughes and Wolfie up front.
  19. I have to agree - very rarely did they get up a decent noise- and they were in the lead for 80 minutes of the game too! Still - wish them and Andy & Luke in particular all the best for the next round - Barnsleyor Middlesbrough away...
  20. He hit the post twice and missed with two others - hardly a shocker
  21. I'm not sure that it has been tried with the support from the club - that may make a difference.
