We are a bigger club than Bournemouth.
What supports that statement?

Bit off topic (it is the FA Cup) but watching Coventry get shafted in the last minute yesterday by the filth brought back some unpleasant memories.

When you are so starved of success you will cling on to anything out of desperation. It makes our fan base naive, vulnerable and impressionable. We have so little experience of success we don’t see the signs (good and bad) that other fans see. We aren’t savvy and are very open to being hurt as a result.
Best defence mechanism - assume the very worst (as I have done all season). It’s usually right.
Christ you need a pulpit.
Give up with your preaching- you know no more than the rest of us-many have longer allegiances with the club than you.

We have noticed.

Utterly bizarre subs.
You don't take off your two best players..
When neither of them can run anymore you do. Presume you wren't including Garner in best players.

The Halifax right back is the type we need.
Weren't we linked with him pre season? Been watching his performance-nowt special but better than our current RB who hasn't managed to throw the ball to an orange shirt so far.

We play again 38 hours after the final whistle. I’m not surprised to see a bit of a shuffle.
Well if they don't get anything tonight then Sat is a waste of time. Utterly bizarre selection that you are trying to defend.

Is there also an element though of "astute business man; naive football club owner"?
Using the expression astute business man and football club owner in the same sentence is a contradiction anyway.

Sheron is versatile. I’d only keep him based on that alone. He’d not be a starter but a useful player to bring on in-game to replace an injury. MM has finally sussed him out hence dropping him for the last 3 matches. A hallmark of our midfield; just not quite good enough.
And results have really picked up since he sussed him haven't they?

I’m sorry, but deep rooted change is needed.
So what is this deep rooted change or is it just you venting again?

Lancs Police wouldn't agree to us playing at Accrington. Accrington had agreed to all 3 Halifax matches to take place there - Police refused. Our away following for the game is what is complicating things...
Why is that? Teams like Wrexham, Stockport and Bradford will have decent followings that the police have to manage.

I like the "edge" that Garner gives us, it's something we have been missing for a while, my only criticism would be is that he overplays it a bit too much, there is a fine line somewhere.
I think he has been another shocking signing. Perfect example of giving an aging player too long a contract and boy have we had/got plenty of these. Looking forward to him passing to a blue shirt some time in the future(next year unfortunately) cos he ain't done it so far.
He could fall off the'edge' tomorrow as far as I am concerned.

He should, but maybe doesn't rate him?
Which answers your constant criticism of managers not picking, scouting watching players you like.

I absolutely would. He was one of the few who never tried to hide and even when he gets flattened as he did several times against Chesterfield and again by Altrincham's centre half (amazingly, given as a foul against him), he gets back up and goes again.
And then does what exactly?

I don’t actually think we were bad yesterday. First half was very even. Shocking defending by Sutton by not stepping up and failing to clear the ball.
second half we were brighter had all the ball but could not put it in the net. We are seriously lacking pace and a number 10 to create chances.
This.
One side is 4th the other 9th. There was nothing between the teams yesterday other than a dreadful defending mistake.

Would we give Dallas time? Seems pretty clear that Barnsley have written him off - farming him out back to this level doesn't smack of them being sure they got a player good enough for L1
Has he actually had a sniff of a chance at goal yet? Yesterday he put himself about but never looked like getting near the goals.
Still if if you run about a lot then Latics fans will tell keep telling us there is a player in there (like Lundstram).

Hitting the drink for this one, can anyone recommend anywhere beforehand ?
If you are into proper beer there is Rustic on Stamford St and Costellos just off the same road that is a brewery tap. Plenty of bars and pubs just along from the station but nothing really on the way to the ground.

I am going to post this against my better judgement, do I think it will happen not really. But I hope so . I actually dreamt we stuffed Flyde 6-0 Norwood 4 , Conlon,Raglan, Fondop . Yes i have pretty detailed dreams occaisionally which have come true in the past . Not many as far retched as this lol . But I thought I would post this .
Any chance of some lottery numbers?

Yeah, probably briefly upset about 10 people tops and I bet they would have then been more than happy with the captain stepping in as a replacement…….
Some of you lot just want him gone and it’s a little bit weird really!
Don't know were you get that conclusion from what I have posted.
It is more bizarre that you consider it acceptable behaviour no matter how many people are involved.

In the old days without social media nobody would know owt about it…and nobody would give a fuck either.
Unless you were the person who had just paid X £'s to sponsor a game and a chance for you and your guests to meet the player you had nominated as MOM.
Wait a minute-that still applies today.

To be honest, if Norwood downs tools because he sees this rubbish that could be us out the play off chase fairly quickly.
Don't think the results were too shabby when he was out with his hamstring injury.

Simplified a little bit.
Do you think there's a queue of top quality midfielders and right-backs out there just waiting to sign for Oldham Athletic?
We are in Lge5-they will not be top quality (they don't have to be) but there are plenty of competent players out there capable of doing a job and giving this team the balance it lacks at the moment.

Crikey it is like a passage from Henry V-one more unto the breach etc.
Unfortunately it is just naive nonsense-players walking over broken glass etc-no relevance to modern day football and contracts-in fact to life in general.
You feeling a bit Churchillian?
You still can't justify the Bournemouth statement and now we get this.
