  1. Quote from a Sheffield United fan on another forum in reference to Nathan Blake's recent blog post (http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/cardiff-city-fc/2011/04/11/nathan-blake-i-ll-be-smiling-if-bluebirds-help-relegate-smug-blades-91466-28495044/):

"I think part of the problem is that there's a strong rumour that Kendall sold him for... not entirely football reasons. Ol' Howard always favoured monochrome teams, shall we say."

He sounds like a right knob

  2. Looks like Exeter will be me and you big man!!

Swindon will be maaaaassssssiiiiivvveeee!! Probably both the drinking and the relegation play-off...

Its only an hour from bloody london so surely you can all play out a bit later that 7pm?

Looks like this might happen. Especially if this weather keeps up!!!

  3. Just booked the train for Leeslover and me for Swindon.

12.15 from Paddington, arriving in Swindon at 13.15.

20.04 from Swindon, arriving at Paddington at 21.07.

£21. Cheap at twice the price.

    Booked. £12.50 with railcard

  4. My point is simple, those who have questions might like to seek answers from the horse's mouth. 'U' turns may follow as circumstances change, but it's got to be better than worrying about what the third cousin of the assistant groundsman might have said to someone's friend in a bus queue.

Oh my god, you'd be rubbish in court.

Terry: "You're honour, I'd like to question the defendent. Where were you on the night of the crime?"

Defendent: "At home, eating pizza, watching a movie with Leeslover"

    Terry: "Your honour,the prosecution rests"

  5. It's no use D_S, even when quotes directly from the horses mouth are aired live on radio and printed in a newspaper a lot of people on this forum still choose not to beleive it.

It's would seem is far easier to scaremonger and start conspiricy theories rather than focus on what's been said :petesake:

Adolf Hitler, Time magazine man of the year...

Chamberlain described him as "alright really".

I apologise for using a very contraversial example but surely you don't believe everything you believe or hear.

0000s is strongly religious, creationists will tell you God created the earth. Others will tell you religion is Santa Claus for grown ups.

Just because someone says its true doesnt make it true.

  6. TTA have always said they will not do a Chris Moore, but each to his own as to whether they are to be believed.

I love this argument. Chris Moore never said he'd do a Chris Moore. George Osbourne says he doesn't have a plan B. Arnie never said he wouldn't come back and Baby always said she wouldn't be put in the f*cking corner.

Would you ever expect Simon Corney to come out and say "we're ok, but we've loads of debt and we're about to get completely shafted by the tax man next month". No because he's not an idiot. He's emotional, outspoken but he's not an idiot. We may be ok. We may not be ok. The owner is never going to admit the latter publically. Guess what - if he says he believes we will go into administration, he likely has to as all the suppliers to the club will remove credit lines and he will then be trading an insolvent business as a going concern. To think that he would say anything but "It's ok" is complete tosh.

I don't know where we'll end up, I'm not too sure what's going to happen. I do think the "players have always been paid early line" is ridiculous and people are reading a lot into this new stand idea.

I guess the let's wait and see brigade are being sensible. However, asking questions is a positive. Otherwise we'd still think the Sun orbits the earth and that once you get west of Britain your boat fall into space!!

    Rant over

  7. the youth team get paid by the f.a so i heard from someone who works within the club, this money has not been used to pay the youth team if you catch my drift also my source says club should have been put into admin 6 months ago.....................

Do you realise how serious an allegation this is? If it is true that we should have been in administration 6 months ago, then that's very serious fraud - with usually a minimum of suspension from being a legal Director in the UK and a not unusual custodial sentence.

  8. Looks like Exeter will be me and you big man!!

Swindon will be maaaaassssssiiiiivvveeee!! Probably both the drinking and the relegation play-off...

Its only an hour from bloody london so surely you can all play out a bit later that 7pm?

More than happy to - if you can negotiate a later curfew for yourself ;-)

  9. Looks like the cheapest tickets come to about £50 already, and that on the slow trains. Am I missing any 4 for 2s or owt else? Swindon on the other hand - out at midday, back at 19.11, for total £15, seems madness not to...

I'm not too sure about Exeter. Will decide nearer the time.

Defo doing Swindon but might be tempted to come back a bit later. That sounds like a most excellent deal though...

  10. It definitely won't turn into a proper night out either........

I'm happy with any venue providing its on and the commentary is also on. Sports Cafe is guaranteed. Will have to see where else. Open to suggestions.

  11. Next Monday, we obviously play bindippers at home on the tele. Is anyone insterested in meeting up centrally (possibly Sports Cafe) having a few drinks and watching the match? There's even potential for a wing-off...

  12. I still don't know where we were? I know we were in the Roxy, but what part of London was it'? It might prove useful next time I end up there :censored:faced as without Andy (not you LL, you were feckin useless) knowing that we could get a cab to go meet his Mrs I'd have been stranded as the rest of you - the ones who actually live in London - were a waste of space!

I reckon I was safely tucked up in bed by the time you left. Again, not useless...

Btw. Am I the only one that is confused by the match reports from Saturday? Whilst I'll admit I didn't really watch too much of the game and can't really remember it, they hardly dominated in the first half. We had nearly all the ball but created nothing. The second half was terrible and they won with a speculative effort. It did however take me 15 mins to realise Furman had left the pitch...

  13. There was a bunch of them. They hunt in packs, the Swedes.

Did alright for a while but got too drunk. She was way out of my league but one has to give it a crack.

Indeed. I remember a blond girl working her way through the group who Ryan thought was a hooker. I've never seen LL get so excited...

Will - I've no idea where you got to. You seemed to disappear around 1-130

  14. Hold on there, you actually admitted that you were wearing the shirt specifically so that you couldnt go on drinking in the evening. Going into battle waving a white flag.

Yes but it was the impending hangover that stopped me in the end... I even went rummaging around trying to find a cheap t shirt. I got as far as Seven Dials and gave up...
