  1. Probally get cabs or a big mini bus thingy from the pub!!

I reckon we do a pinsa movement on the bus. I'll go round the drivers side, two can go on the entrance side. Between the three of us we can distract him for long enough!!!!!

Yes I am having a very very boring day. Woke up this morning thinking it was football day only to be disappointed that it was work day

  2. Colchester United on footballgoundguide.com:

"David Prior adds if you are arriving at Colchester Station then there are a few pubs within a five minute walk. Directly opposite Bruff Close (where the shuttle bus runs from) is the Bricklayers, a smallish pub with two bars. However, it is believed that this pub will be closed on matchdays. "

I suppose it isn't far to figure out if it's open or not.

I'm in. Are we getting tickets in advance or seeing if we can board the bus anyway?

  3. Yeh if we have tickets in advance ... not something we usual manage to organise

Very very true!! Although, what else would a good few pissed up Oldham fans be doing on a Saturday in Colchester?!?! Surely they can work it out!!!!

  4. Andy

At least you can take the week off. Up for the Saturday against Millwall. Small matter of a test match at Oval on Sunday (weather permitting). Back up Tues for Dale and then early early back to London Weds morning. Then trying out the new National Express rail on the Sat for Leeds.

It's gonna be a good week.

  5. How about this, If say, United are in fact interested in him, and decide against renewing Wes Brown's contract, and release Brown on a free. They let Gary Neville get his spot back at Right-Back, and buy Richards for 20 million (+?). Gary Neville is bound to pick up an injury through next season (would be lucky if he didn't, and is bound to retire soon anyway) and Micah will know that, so he know's he will be next in line. Also, Barcelona are interested in buying back Gerard Pique from United, who is United's 3rd choice Central Defender, so he has a place in case either Vidic or Ferdinand are injured etc. Hmmm.

Did Wes Brown not sign a new deal in the week, along with Michael Carrick?

  6. I'm driving!!! Theme being thought ..... suggestions welcome.

Thats very very noble of you. Yes I do mean noble!! I thought people would take the hit on trains. Last game of the season, wont be paying for trains / tickets for a while, and would it be the same if it was baking and you hadnt had a few lagers?

We could take the term fancy dress to it's literal extreme. Alternatively, I've always thought it would be amusing for a bunch of football fans to turn up as stewards. It'll be a prelude to our away kit next year like Brighton last year ;)

  7. We the silly priced / 4 hour trains on this day we will be looking to hire a mini bus for the day ......... nobody wants to miss the best game of the year FANCY DRESS DAY.

Anyone interested...... more the merrier and cheaper the cost

Keep me posted. After my Swindon no show and busy next weekend, the last two games are in the diary

Are we having a OASIS theme for fancy dress?

Who's gonna take the hit and drive?

  8. I'm not gonna make it this Saturday - unfortunately I'm in France. However, for Big Fin who is in Clapham for the weekend - there is a direct train from Clapham Junction to Watford Junction. Dont know how long it will take but it will probably be the simplest / tubeless route

Other than that I would imagine Victoria Line upto Kigs X St Pancras is the best way

  9. That day at Swindon will remain long in the memory. The day we remained in League One (or Division Two it may have been). Perhaps not mathematically so but realistically. With the Summer that preceeded it you could hear the belief get louder all day. We'd have outsung any set of fans that day.

Even with all the great away days this season, for many many reasons, it must rank in the top 3

  10. Hi all

Sorry can't get on my hotmail at work which is ever so slightly annoying.

Anyway, is anyone planning on travelling to Swansea on Sat? If so what time are people heading. prob gonna have to be the 815 out of Paddington and then straight back. No sticking around for the rugby - I don't want to be the sole Englishman in Swansea supporting England (as much as I want to see the game)

    Alex

  11. Staying over in Leeds NYE so going to play it by ear.

Wetherspoons is pretty close to the station - about 100 yards maybe. You turn left out of station and over the big square/roundabout. The ground is a right turn from the train station. If I remember right, between the ground and City Centre is mainly industrial estates. I'm staying over with my Leeds supporting mate. I wouldnt and he certainly does not advise the Peacock. We got away with it in the League cup but it just wont happen for a League game!!!!

Reckon city centre is best, Wetherspoons near the train station and then over to the ground (about a 20 min walk)

  12. Arrives at 12.30pm .... our usual arrival time Andrew <_<

Sounds like a plan. About as cheap as they come this one outside of London

Not managed to meet up with any of you guys yet. I think one or two of you may have my number. Any possibility of arranging a meet at Liverpool St before hand?

  13. With trains out to South Bermondsey from London Bridge, is anyone up for organising a few beers in the Horniman at Hays near the station. Get a few songs going on the river.

Should be a good day out!!

  14. Cheers

Not gonna be able to make it now as one of my best mates has decided to have a birthday. I'll be on my way up to Manchester instead!! How ridiculous.

    Enjoy the game

    Alex

Getting 10.05, meeting around 9.40 at Waterloo
  15. Cheap tickets available at the moment for Bournemouth. 10.05 direct from Waterloo, 1859 back into Waterloo. Between £17 and £25 return depending on railcards etc. Anybody up for those times?

Not travelled with the OASIS boys before. Have been meaning to for a while though.

    Alex
