i can see where yer comin from dude, but this fixture is a long time coming, and if we have to wait anotha 30 odd years before it happens again, then thats 30 odd years of braggin rights. its a tin pot cup til you get the big boys away in round 3 or 4, ie a full OT, Emerates, Council stadium, Anfield etc, then it becomes our ticket out of this division....THIS FIXTURE IS MASSIVE, played in the 1st cpl o weeks of the season, what more to wet the appetite for greater things ahead. Gutless bunch of (fill in as appropriate) I know we can go on about formations, youfs playin in the ressies and ressies playin in the first team. I DONT expect to win every game, but, whoever plays in a Latics team are professionals and there is absolutely no excuse for not giving 100%. we play, we try and we lose, then so be it, we lose to a better team. Too many half hearted performances have been on display this season. if you are a centre forward and have to play in goal, ok its not your position but you give your all for the team.....i aint wanting to single anyone out here, and this is only an example...yeterday when the Swindon fans were giving Taylor grief, he put an extra 15% on his game...15% that shudda been there from the off. comes down to PRIDE, PASSION and BELIEF, something that is very very clear is not drilled into them.

I was going to put this thread on the OWTB FC forum but decided it wasnt just the team and officials I let down. I would just like to say sorry to all involved with the team, and all latics supporters who so rightly want the latics to win at whatever level, inc fans fixtures. I have all weekend to ponder over my actions and have realised I let myself down, the team and officials down, and latics fans in general down. I am certain there are 100s of fans who would love to have played but through whatever reason never get the opportunity, and I have abused that. I sincerly hope I am given the opportunity to play again though understand if not.
