The main thing in this for me personally, I was in two minds whether to get a season ticket or not. After the utter mediocrity of last season, and then seeing the retained/released list, I sort of needed a decent appointment to gauge my interest back up. I'm 28 so I have seen nothing but utter shite watching Oldham. Disappointment after disappointment.

Maybe my head was in the clouds wanting a Steve evans/Stuart McCall type, considering they wouldn't put up with some of the antics from the chuckle brothers, but that appointment yesterday just knocked the wind out my sails.

Won't be buying a season ticket I don't think, and I'm only mentioning because I'm guessing there will be more than a few in the same boat as me. It was a good opportunity to get the fans back on board and implement his "long term vision" he discussed in his statement, and I couldn't be less enthused.

I'm willing to judge him on his results and give the guy a chance but my interested is approaching nil. Starting to wonder why I even like football in the first place 😂 you can't fall out of love with the game but Latics are certainly pushing their luck on that one

I have let the previous season ticket deadline pass, this one will be going too.

I am not particularly bothered about the appointment of Banide, it all seems largely irrelevant as we all know that :clown: and :jester: are running the show.

If another bus load of foreign dross arrives at Boundary Park i won't even be turning up on the day.

In all my years as a fan I have never known it to be this quiet, not any genuine rumours on either a manager or players. The silence is quite scary

In all your years as a fan you should know that no news is good news !

When the news does finally arrive it will be bad, :clown:

Also see Jordan Bove, Scott Spencer, Ryan Sugden

Doubt whether any of these,or many other kids released over the years could have reached the giddy heights of stardom attained by Benteke.

Can't believe people are counting up all these potential dodged bullets when we have the worst team seen in the lifetime of most supporters.

  4. Now i am aware that Abdallah may have made the odd mistake during his tenure of the club But, he does have a very warm smile, has impeccable dress sense and an uncanny ability to discover world beating wingers !

He has provided a clear and concise plan showing a route to Championship football in an impressive time frame.

If what he says is to be believed, then he has been well and truly taken to the cleaners during his purchase of the club suffering a massive financial blow.

it is all too easy to say his legal team should have found any irregularities, they didn't, stuff like that happens.

I sit here and think, maybe we should forgive his past indiscretions ( chaining Jack Byrne to a basement radiator apart) and get behind the guy, give him some support and oppose this faceless group of moneymen who may attempt to overthrow him.

Say what you like about Abdallah but he hasn't built so much as a garden shed at Boundary Park and he has never asked you all to chip in to buy the club....

I used to use this board to get away from all the idiots and wind up merchants on twitter. It's probably even worse on here these days...

I think it would be rather foolish to take as gospel anything that is posted on here' ( that includes everyone )

Personally, i wouldn't believe a single word from either ::clown: or his brother, and would trust them even less.

The thing about the idiots and wind up merchants is, however daft they sometimes appear, they do genuinely have the best interests of the club at heart.

Furthermore, to suggest that the future looks bleak is hardly the wild prophecy of a madman, it could be deemed to be an accurate assessment as things stand.

  6. No

    Yes

    Good

My reasoning, the second half at Exeter on which the entire season was riding was an abject failure from a managerial perspective. You can't even make allowances for inexperience and for that i wouldn't want him to be given the job on a permanent basis.

Pretty certain he will be offered the job as he will undoubtedly be the cheapest option.

Exeter aside, Wild has probably done more than we could have possibly expected.
