As much luck as the business model of spending a lot of money in the hope of success on the pitch does?
And yep, none of the players we’ve had would probably command a fee. No one has said it’s a strategy that’s going to work, but these players now are getting more coverage and attention than they were in the French fourth division, which means they’re being better advertised..
That's all well and good but I don't give a shit how much the thinks he will earn off the back of these players.I want to turn up every week and be entertained, half of the mugs can't kick a ball straight!
If you are going to import a full team, surely you can bring in better than what is there already.
This lot are without a shadow, the worst team i have ever watched.

Its quite clear that Branger, Missilou and Nepo are in his opinion his biggest assets. Hence why he keeps playing them regardless.
It does beg the question why we never got anything for Placide and let him go free, as he would surely have been one to command a fee?
None of these players would command a fee, maybe if Missilou was to continue his improvement until the season end he could feasibly attract a very modest fee.
This business model relies on a he'll of a lot of luck to see a decent return.

A good name?
Reckon there’s atill a chance of Surridge?
All depends on your idea of a good name.
I wouldn't mind a Tarquin or a Peregrine, would make a change from the most overused name ever, Mohammed.

Paul Scholes' personal life outside of football is not for a football chat site.
Don't sneak it into your post then

Do you think he is paying him the £300k (he won't be on that by the way) up front in cash?
Scholes is in charge of this process IMO. He has things outside of football that cannot be changed so readily (those who know know), legal aspects around Salford and probably wanting to have time to breath.
The moment it broke it was reported as being at least 10 days until he is appointed.
Those who know know ??? Why not just say what you mean Cryptic Cliff ?
You seem pretty certain his contract is not £300k.

Nicky Butt
It's crazy enough to think Scholes may take the job on,for Butt to Jack a very good number to become second in command here is beyond the realms of sanity.the partnership to equal Dumb and Dumber.

Unbelievable support on Saturday. The Just Cant Get Enough was superb...I was wondering how it must of sounded in the other parts of the ground.
I'm expecting some pelters here but....We do have a very, very small amount of idiots who do their best to spoil it all. Two incidents in particular. The idiots, and one in particular, on the train on way down. At the top of his voice describing how he took his wife up the chuffer the night before and constantly efin and calling his mates efin c**ts every minute. All at top of his voice. Why make sure all the train can hear? Some women, and the lady who sat next to me where very uncomfortable, can I use the word intimidated, and two said they were going to complain to the rail people. The second was the idiot who sat in one blokes seat in the ground and when he pointed it out he in no uncertain terms asked him what the ef was he going to do about it. The bloke must have been nearly 60. He chose just to find another seat. The allocated seat thing causes problems I know but threatening a fellow Latics fan...nah not good.
it's not a latics fan thing but society in general, there is no respect shown to women, ones elders, the police, hospital staff and on and on.therefore the moronic element can act in a disgraceful manner in the knowledge that nobody will challenge them and if that did happen there would be no form of repercussion to this behaviour.
This country has become a soft touch from Government down to local authorities. We are a weak society that certain individuals will take advantage of.
Absolutely totally bloody sad.

Yes, 300k a year is what Scholes wants, that's what was agreed, up to Lemsagam to make that happen, if not then Scholes will not be taking the job.
- Piece of piss, puts twice that amount in the coffers every 3 months.

Big mistake last season letting Clarke go and keeping the fat, divisive bastard.
Hehe, like I said Michael he is no OWTB pin up boy.
Clarke didn't pull any trees up at Bury in that loan spell maybe he is a better fit at BP.

He got rid of Gerrard......plenty of bonus points there for me.
Apart from the tunnel incident at Chesterfield, I don't think Gerrard did too badly on the pitch.granted he would never win a popularity contest on here.

What do you suggest we do about it? The only thing that could change it is someone else coming in to buy him out, and I don't see that happening. If we protest as much as Newcastle fans or Blackpool fans have,he may just think 'sod this I've had enough' and walk away like Moore did, leaving us with £200k a month to find, going into admin. and being relegated.
I haven't mentioned doing anything because as you rightly say until somebody takes over there is precious little anyone can do.
One thing I will say is that 200k per month statement is absolute tosh.not much evidence of anything like that kind of money being pumped into the club but it does sound ever so convincing in an interview.

These are exactly the posts and opinions which makes a chairman think it's okay to play football manager and mess about with our club, what he's doing needs challenging because it's not right.
Eventually the penny will drop and people will see the for what he is, until then they will blindly follow unquestioning.Until such time his disciples will always know better.you must always remember that you saw through the fakery, the phoney allegiance and the cheap gestures to identify a megalomaniac, dictator and a bully in the clothing of a friendly sheep.

Mind you, we've only lost one of those matches before yesterday, dire as it was. You can't really ignore the fact that Wild has done a miraculous job in the circumstances. And I'm not an advocate for him to have the job either - it's too soon for him in his career IMO.
To be perfectly honest, the massive gap between appointing someone isn't grinding my gears as much as it is others seemingly. I think a couple of flat defeats adds weight to the debate though but Wild's unforeseen success has genuinely bought AL time in appointing someone long term. With someone as hands-on as AL likes to be, getting the right man in is absolutely key to me.
Unfortunately you forget that your mate AL is a complete moron.

Corney has always said the club was for sale, however the chairman came with the club. which might have put potential buyers off.
to be honest would you buy a club in name only? thats loss making? we are not really a good investment in my mind unless you own it all and selling it on as a whole too.
If i was a con artist, then yes i would be very interested
