  1. Admitting you made a mistake (again) is hard but whoever the decision makers are need to park their egos and make the cut because the idea this guy gets another transfer window to inflict more damage is unthinkable, if that means the playing budget is cut then so be it.
  2. Better than finishing mid table and barely trying to pass but I know what you mean.
  3. If could see obvious signs of progression/building towards something and it was entertaining to watch then I'd be inclined to give that time.
  4. Someone with a progressive mindset, someone who wants to play attractive football, someone will add value on the training ground. Who that is I don't know but I know it isn't Mellon.
  5. It might be another Ronnie Moore situ where slow ST sales ends up being the catalyst.
  6. I'm sorry but they can't give this guy the summer.
  7. Tis the season for resurrections. Although the great man himself might have thought this one was a step too far...
  8. Someone's had too much chocolate this morning...
  9. He's probably in the running for player of the year to be fair.
  10. Would love to but unfortunately time does not allow for it. Not sure my participation would have led to the organisation being consulted in any case to be honest.
  11. Big 'extra dates added due to exceptional demand' vibes
  12. Sounds like the Foundation wasn't consulted. Makes you wonder what is being discussed in the meetings with Royle...
  13. Serial promotion winner and we are effectively two places higher than where we finished last season, big L.
  14. Apparently all you have to do is pick the right manager and the rest takes care of itself...
  15. Well you'd like to think the people running the club must have some idea of what they would like to see. That's your start point and then you put people in place to implement your plans. Unless their plans don't go beyond just signing the cheques, in which case just carry on as you are and hope for the best.
  16. No, you recruit a manager who aligns with your chosen philosophy, whatever that maybe. If you want them to sign the players then fine.
  17. Next manager might come in and have a completely different philosophy, so you've got to go out and recruit a new squad again whilst trying to get rid of the ones he doesn't want, smart clubs don't operate that way. At the moment we just seem to be flailing around without much a plan, chucking good money after bad and hoping the dice drop our way, very odd given the supposedly intelligent people running the club.
