totally agree, who,s to say that Pompey don't have a bunch of better strikers than us, in fact going off ours , I'm sure they do.Explain to me how you come to that conclusion, for me Mains as good as we've had in the last few years and was all round a better player than Holloway for me.
-
off Portsmouth forum, they were talking about freeing up space in there squad, said main would be one they would let go, if someone would take him injured.I would rate main a good 7 at this level, and McKay 3,
-
yes it is a shame, but you could say that most weeks, he's here to score goals, and sometimes you have to make your own luck.Sounded like he put in a good shift today, shame it just wasn't to be.
-
I would rate main a good 7 at this level, and McKay 3,What you get with AG PC is no messing about third spell playing together, Everton Huddersfield and us. First head to ball not waiting until someone get in first.
What they lack in pace is why they are at Oldham and will have a bad day now and again but both are 8 or 9 out of 10 players at our level and no striker will bully them. Perhaps the 30 month contract plus Holloway is a nod to Shez that club got it wrong by not signing the players that helped last season. Main ??? not playing at Pompey worth a go?? or is McKay an upgrade with a decent forward.
Ngoo could well surprise us if he wants a longer deal.
-
agree but we still need a goal scorer or are we relying on the new lad from non league.Happy with this one. Based on last season I was convinced Holloway will develop into a player who will play at a higher level and was really disappointed we didn't get him signed up permanently. Miles better than what we've had up front so far this season.
-
agree with this, him and Clarke may well be the best pairing in this league. For the first time I 100% agree with you. A player that even when challenging for a 50/50 header still looks to find his own player. Very good footballing brain. Cracking signing ESPECIALLY on a longer deal. He's only 30 FFS
-
what would be the odds on, Clarke/gerrard, scoring more goals than McKay/Erwin for the rest of the season.half a season of Mckay,Ladapo and Erwin confirms that Danny P was worth 75k.
-
spot on thisFor me he can go.. I have seen enough of him to realise he isn't good enough. For a biggish lad he's absolute tosh in the air ( A 60yrd pass floating through the air on sat where he tried to bring down with his foot instead of attempting to head ...he even knows he's :censored:e in that department) and his hold up play is near non existent .Ok he can dribble a bit but as others have stated his finishing is woeful therefore he wont be no loss.
-
yes good news that. When he does eventually end up back there, I can see him getting a few league cup games etc. They must surely be pleased with his progress with us. How about sending us a few more down here. Now that is tremendous news. Boro must have realised there is no club in the country where he's going to get as much practice as he does with us.
-
mains a far better player, in my opinion. This! Donny fans were saying much the same about Curtis Main this time last season
-
must be a rarity a six foot plus striker, who can't head a ball, even in this league. It's £24 to Scotland on the MegaBus, shall we have a whip round?
-
I don't go for this thinking, he signed all three, all three turned out to be :censored:e, and they won't have been the only players to choose from either.Mckay is a decent player of that im convinced. A run in the side and decent service and he'd averagw 12-15 goals at this level easily.
Ladapo and Erwin your looking at the dregs of what was left at practically the dawn of the season. I'm in no way saying he's the greatest manager of all time - I'm saying his chairman has let him down badly, sat back and let him cop the stick. Although not desperate to see him take charge after a full window, I'd be interested to see how he did and what he brought in.
You can't judge solely on a few weeks of panic buying and corney hasn't give him an inch of leeway ever since.
-
I would flirt all of them off with the exception of Clarke and ripley. It's a shame but probably the right decision whether SR or SC made it. Certainly would cart 2/3 out of Croft, Banks & Green if we can next.

I like your confidence , is he the man for the job, time will tell,a rousing fight back to the second half of the season or drop out of this league with a whimper.with the later being more likely for me.Like a couple of callers on GMR tonight I've got to say that Steve Robinson has my full backing, I'm confident he can turn this around and really hope every last penny is put into giving him a chance of saving our season, if he bring the four or five he's identified in and fails then fair enough but I'm happy that he's the man to take us forward, clubs like Chesterfield being linked to the perennial failure that is Dean Holden will only enhance our chances as will Lacrapo and Bird:censored: turning out for Shrews and Bury, it's time to get behind the bloke now and try and make the best of a bad job.

Mediocre loanees who have contributed to us being bottom going to relegation rivals.
That's good news I'd say.
My thoughts exactly!!
Would just like to know that others are coming in...Holloway and Gerrard would do very nicely thanks any chance of main aswell
-
according to a few of there fans he has put such a high price on his shareholding nobody will buy him out.Berylson has fought tooth and nail against this
-
They absolutely hate there chairman berlyson,
-
Sorry but I know a few Milwall fans who are sound & looked after is both times we have played them. My niece is Grandad and family support them. Nice people you will met.
Yes they have had a nasty reputation more so than others.
But this sets a worrying trend & if goes through could happen to other clubs and have a lot of local fans who be sad to see there local club go to the wall or relocate to Kent. They absolutely hate there chairman berlyson,
Hopefully fan power and a good legal team will put a stop to this.

never rated burgess gaz, error prone. We've got rid of two players from probably the worst squad in my time watching latics, (granted not THAT long) to relegation rivals...
If Gerrard comes in as speculated then it's an instant upgrade on Burgess.
If ANYONE comes in then it's an instant upgrade on Ladapo.
-
Loads of there fans are worried that there land has been sold for redevelopment into luxury accommodation,
-
I can understand that, if true and sc is looking to sell he,s hardly going to get top dollar with us propping the table up looking like no hopers.According to one reliable tweeter, Corney was having a right go at robinson. Would have been voices raised if Fleetwood youth nearby, with Barry O present too.
-
it's a wonder we have won any games, with nobody who knows how to score a goal. We have been defence minded all season. To be honest after watching us to lose to Swindon and MK Dons at home at the end of September/beginning of October I am actually amazed we have managed to win two more league games since then!
-
agreed there all :censored:, and someone has to be culpable of signing four untested strikers at the same time.:censored: them all off.
-
anyone know the situation with main and hollaway, I havnt noticed them playing regularly since they went?We persuaded Matty Palmer and Main and Holloway last season. The right players will be available
