  1. Richard - I fully appreciate what you say - trust me, I have never been as bored at home as this season. The point I was making though is this; have we gone beyond the pale? i.e. will the stay aways come back one day or have we lost most/all of them forever? It would be nice to have a "fans' day" of some sort - arranged by the fans - for the fans just to gauge whether we still have potential to draw them back - or whether we are, in fact, now just another Rochdale (no disrespect to Rochdale but even with relative success, and good entertainment, they cannot attract local fans through the door).

I fully understand what you are saying and applaud you for the work you are trying to do. But I know season ticket holders who are picking and choosing when they go under the current team management. Goals bring in supporters.
  2. We'll probably never know the things that were "going on behind the scenes" - that's the very nature of such things; they tend to be confidential and happen in all walks of life, even our own (shakes the skeletons in his cupboard).

Does anybody think otherwise, though, than that the primary reason for John Sheridan leaving was because of a very attractive financial package that was offered to him? A package that we simply could not match. I remember it being said that we made an improved offer over his then package with us, so it's a fair bet that it was a "too good to refuse" financial package for him personally.

Whatever was going on behind the scenes doesn't appear to have put us in imminent danger - because we are still here. If it had been pending Administration, for example, who could have blamed him anyway. It wasn't - although that possibility is always a constant spectre looming over us, just because of our dire cashflow.

If I did have a Christmas wish, it would be for all "stay away" fans to come along against Port Vale on 2nd Jan - even if just for that one game - to show they care about Latics and give the owners and any potential buyers food for thought i.e. the potential is still there. I sometimes wonder if it really is or have we gone beyond the pale?

for stay away fans to part with there twenty quid or whatever it is, there has to be some sort of entertainment on show from both teams, no just the visitors.
  3.

Those who won't renew are either single or have a partner that let's them do what the hell they want on a Saturday. I'm like that, trailing round shops, or renew, I'm going for renew.

If I didn't have my season ticket that'd be an extra day every week stuck with her listening to :censored:e from Ikea she wants to fill the new house with

I'm like that either trailing round shopping or renewing, no contest renewing.
  4. Thank you for the responses - and the emails with questions are coming through now - good stuff. dpwild - that's great - I`ll collate some times/dates in due course but, in reality, I think we will pretty much have to run with dates the Chairman has available.

All questions posted on here and in emails will be pulled together, de-duplicated where possible and posted on here for final comment before we produce a final draft of the questions.

    Thanks again - really appreciated.

the question I have is, with the income of approx, 3000 fans fortnightly, how does the chairman and his board plan to address this and take the club forward.
  5. The words "It's scary, you don't sleep at night" should convice everyone this man has the club at heart.

Would anyone on OWTB honestly like to be in his shoes right now?

also in his words did he say nobody works as hard as Robinson? Well if that's the case it must be the shower of :censored:e he's working with then? Clarke and ripley are excused from that comment.
  6. I refer you to your signature line and suggest Corney is doing the same.

It's splitting hairs names v pseudonyms. He knows exactly who Prozac is for starters. And Prozac has been significantly less vocal than many others.

Still, I agree there is an opportunity.

all he's done is mention a few on here , who havnt been happy recently to come in for a chat. He's hardly likely to have a load of heavies there ready to whisk them up to the hills is he?
  7. I know some won't like this but we really miss Holloway and Main not just because they scored a few but they were fantastic at defending from the front. Ladapo is up there with one of the laziest strikers I've seen.

I agree hollaway and main,s work rate was far better than than the dross we have now. Both got stuck in and rolled there sleeves up.
  8. FAO: MARK MOISELEY

I emailed you with an idea on day 1 of you being at Latics. You replied saying you agreed and would look to getting it sorted.

3 main routes surrounding the Boundary Park area

Get this new £15 admission price plastered up on lampposts, sandwich boards, signposts...put the word out to thousands of passers by daily!

    YOU'VE GOT NO EXCUSE!

. Get they players out after training posting flyers with a discount voucher on, through all the house doors in the area.
  9. What's the point in sacking Robinson, one man needs to go and that's Corney, whilst we are under this mans leadership we are going only one way, sorry to Mcfluff and deyres and the rest of his arse lickers but the blokes a complete clown who shouldn't be allowed to plunge our club any lower with his piss poor management and decision making.

do us a favour, under the pthererswe have at least had a few goals in the side, this team is heading one way, down, Jan a big month for us if we army cut adrift.
  10. Bring back the Scousers. Can anyone really say these two won't be vast improvement on the current shower of :censored:? Yes, they're both prone to piling on the pounds. Yes, they're both lacking in....certain respects. Yes, they probably/definately can't actually play for a while, but they'd still be better than what we've got.

. Those two will do fine, and in Leon Clarke and we should be ok.
  11. We've been :censored: at set pieces for years. I never expect to score, but i always expect to concede. It's like it's an Oldham disease.

Anyway, slightly on that topic, when can we bring back Jose? I've had enough of this :censored:. I'd rather have a weeble with a liking for big birds and recreational drugs but with the ability to light up a game than this boring and predictable mechanical :censored:, any day.

I was surprised how few goals gregan scored for a player who liked to put himself about a bit in the opposition box,
