Saw them on BT a few weeks back. They're sponsored by 'Boz's Fruit and Veg'. It'd be dark day if we lost.

How disrespectful. The second time recently that fans off here have talked ill of former players (and superb ones at that) who have died (the other was some cheap shots at Andy Goram). To call someone a "nonce" when they broke no laws whatsoever is just so wrong.
Let's have it right... If it was now, he'd be all over Facebook being filmed by some toothless Yorkshireman in trackies. Well before my time but, from what I know, legal or not, it was morally questionable at best.

Am I missing something? Even without the afro, it's clear that Groves was mixed-race.

Be great if Frank could be on the pitch as the players come out for the Dorking match singing along to this track over the PA.
Would be our Sweet Caroline moment.
BT Sport would love it too.
If any other owner, at any other club, did something like that, how would you feel? He'd be universally mocked (rightfully).

Could be a Grimsby like 6-0 win though?
Top day that. Even though I didn't leave the Clayton Arms as it was already full.

He talked about having a City season ticket at the press conference, felt like he wasn't looked after at the ground so I suspect our matchday experience may be enhanced, I don't think he's doing it as a fan more for the town and his pride in the everything Oldham.
Fair enough. I hope so. Probably coming across as having an agenda now but I find anyone in City shorts pretty offensive.

Just skimmed that video to about 2 and a half minutes in and he's in a pair of City shorts on a rowing machine...

Not even anyone being intentionally vague about what's going on. Someone's got to be ITK on here?

No chance Big Baz will put himself at risk from getting found out.
He's not going to risk his cushy role is he.
AL still wants his sexually aggressive foot rubs.

That photo's definitely Pete Mason, Latics fan.
Used to post on here from memory an all. Remember trying to blag some old BTB's.

There's also a good piece on Lee Hughes in The Athletic, but it's paywalled, so meh.
I'd have him back based on that...

Gave a tab to an old bloke in outside the River Head in Marsden. Got talking and it turns out he was George Sievwright. Played for us alongside Jimmy Frizz in the early 60's. Told me 3 times that he used to say to opposition forwards... "If you do that again, you'll end up over the road". The opposition replied "why, what's over the road". "The fucking hospital" George would reply in a stern Scottish accent. Definitely a different era... Got the impression that time hadn't been overly kind to George or his finances. Was a nice bloke though and seemed appreciative that there was an Oldham fan over the wrong side of the hills who was genuinely interested in his tales.

All the best at this late hour but i think you could be paying £50 .. but well worth it when we come home with 3 points

Anyone with spares I'll meet you in Bradford and pay face... Need two and would rather pay £40 than £50 (obvs).

I don't ever remember being so down and depressed about Latics. After getting back from FGR, I had a few in town and bumped into 2 former very staunch Latics' fans. Neither now attends (including one who did home and away, every game for years). Both talked along the same lines i.e. it just doesn't "feel the same" anymore, there's a massive disconnect with the fans and "the heart has been ripped out of the club".
I`ve done a bit of soul searching and I realise I am starting to feel the same way myself. I can't believe that I am no longer enjoying watching Latics but...I`m not.
I`ll go against Crewe but after that, who knows?
So, has the heart been ripped out of our club? Can it ever be put back?
Fuck them. I'm taking a conscious hiatus. I'll probably do 2 homes this year and 8 or so aways. It's still 'my' club.

I thought he'd walk after the Chesterfield game... He didn't. Not sure he'll walk tonight. Genuinely gutted but he's too much of a legend to have his legacy tarnished.
He should walk. Keep his head high and be welcome back at BP in an ambassadorial role for the rest of his life. It's not happening on the pitch and there's nothing to suggest it will do.
