  1. He also said that Liverpool anticipated an attendance of 28,000 .

Very good interview with him on R5 , obviously chuffed to bits for the supporters.

Listened to the interview and thought the attendance seemed like a low estimate, Havent and waterlooville and luton both had attendance of over 40000 at Anfield in the cup although Reading only had 31000, hopefully its around the 40000 mark to bring in an extra few £££'s. Luton and Reading was midweek replays as well.

  2. Just read another post about how we could improve the attendance and come up with an idea of my own. Ive not thought much into the finaces of it all but think it could work in the long term.

We could give a 15 game (cat b and c games) season ticket to all 11 year olds in the borough through schools, id guess there is about 2500 so plenty of room in the chaddy or rre for cat b and c games. Obviously all wont turn up but if we could a few hundred coming every week who would then pay to get in the cat a games and spend while at the ground i think we could cover admin cost of the promotion then hopefully we could get a couple of hundred who would buy a season ticket the following season or even turn up for a few games. There must be loads of kids out there who are utd or city fans but would like to watch live football and after a free season going to bp they may want to carry on.

  3. I don't gamble, however I've still got a free bet from when I signed up to Coral for that Latics ticket last season. So come on OWTBer's. What should I put on (Latics related) with that free cash to bet with and way? the best (in my view) will get the dosh on the nose!! It's only a fiver mind. but if it wins I'll donate the lot to playershare.

Ive just put a £40 bet on us with coral to finish above hartlepool, stevenage, tranmere, walsall and yeovil. It pays 4/1 which i think is very good. Not going to make you much off a fiver tho.

    worth a punt

  4. Just seen Sheff Wed have had a bid of £200k knocked back but its apparently close to Rotherhams asking price. If we get Feeney off the wage bill would 250k or so be within our budget using the Stephens cash? The figures i heard a few weeks ago was that Rotherham wanted close to £500k.

    My link

  5. I think Josh Parker and Euan Holden will both sign this week and maybe the small tanned midfielder who played at Mossley, after that i think it will be loan signings which will prob come the week before the season starts. Prob a center back, midfielder and a striker but still think we need some experience.

  6. To be honest i think a lot of the people who was against Failsworth soon realised that we needed the move more than an OL postcode, im sure there would be a few who would complain but if it was the only site available then it would be the best thing for the club. Do they think Rochdale complain about having an OL postcode?
