  1. Spot on. People need to get real. I've been going for 35 years and seen a lot better, and a lot worse than this. I think it's a reflection of life, everyone wants instant success these days. And the idiots on here need to grow up.
  2. What a pile of :censored:e. Joe Royle would be the first one to tell you that getting rid of the gaffer now is madness. Looking at what Shez has achieved on his budget makes this season a success as it stands. Fact, you'll find that any experienced football analyst would tell you that. I know it's frustrating but when are people going to realise that sacking the Manager isn't going to happen. So I'm with Joe - Give it a rest. The players are culpable, let's hope they can turn it round. Oh and just because I have this point of view it doesn't make me a happy clapper. Grow up morons!

    MOTM Vs. Colchester

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but how has Allott picked up 2 votes? That was his worst performance since returning in a blue shirt. Fair enough he's allowed the odd stinker but MOM?????
  4. The point I was making is that Windass has come out and alleged that. I'm aware of how transfers are done but thanks for your sarcasm anyway.
  5. There are so many times when I'm on this board that I get really annoyed and cheesed off with the same old comments attitudes etc. Then I read a thread like this with references and photos shown and it makes it all worthwhile. Well done all.
  6. The thing that concerns me here is the reference to the chairman - Deano is being divisive here, and it looks like he is making out the chairman (or board, he might have Corney's title mixed up) did the deal, not Shez. Shez can't win here, he's had loads of stick on here about picking mates etc - looks like he was always in a lose - lose situation as soon as he signed. Should be an interesting few days.........................
  7. Still available if anyone can collect.............................
  8. There probably is room for both of them at some point, Whittaker has had enough dcent games to show he can play a bit, he was never another Wellens though. the main point is though why does it always have to be a black & white issue? On here its always either/or. Management is not like that its sometimes shades of grey, people over react too much. Like I've said before 1 bad result (Bristol Rovers) doesn't make us crap and 1 good away win (MIllwall) doesn't make us certs for promotion. People need to get some perspective.
  9. Spot on. I really do think that Latics generally do their best, the stories I hear from mates who support Prem league clubs just show how lucky we actually are.
  10. Ticket is still available if anyone is struggling. please PM me
  11. I was one of them. didn't go yesterday but I've seen some immature rections to new signings before. I reckon in certain games there will be room for them both, I genuinely hope Kabba will be a success, and I reckon we'll see better from Deano too who doesn't deserve the childish stick he gets on this board. So Deano bashers, you own up! Which one of you big bollocked boys would call him to his face eh?
  12. Due to sickness (genuine, not skiving) I can't make tomorrow so if anyone wants a seat in the Chaddy please PM me, will need to collect please.
  13. You don't need 3 Shovellers surely? Even Rafa only plays 2 of them?? I reckon Gregan would catch that team instead of one of the sledgers. We should also sack Shez and let Big Gordon manage it
  14. If you care to read I've contributed to several threads all around the same subject and managed to see both sides of the argument in a mature balanced way. rather than making one post and then when someone disagrees resorting to name calling. You undermine your own minor contribution. For even more common sense read Harry's post, you might, just might, learn something
  15. Class reply H, well worth the wait. Some people on here wouldn't out that much effort into a terms work!
  16. Thanks - I don't totally disagree with you either. We'll wait for Coney's call. Quick note to some others, it is possible to have a proper debate about the club we all love without getting personal or childish. The alternative is to implode a la Eastlands. Right I'm off to find a Leeds fan to torment................
  17. Isn't it funny how all the Shez out brigade are still happy banging on about what the problem is and how he gets it wrong. I keep asking the question; so sack him and then what do you do? The creator of this thread has brought one new issue to the table, and it's debatable whether it's not just another over re-action - at the end of the day we don't see 98% of Shez's "man management" becuause we don't hear it ot it's on the training ground/dressing room etc. So feel free to keep flogging this particular dead horse, after all its easier than actually having responsibility & accountability which is what Corney has, i.e. I'll sack him.......................................Oh dear what do I do now?? For the last time, realise the consequence of your vigilante suggestions!
  18. No fair play at last a bit more of an argument put forward, thats the process of a debate. So whilst I don't totally agree, lets agree to differ, where do we go from here in your eyes? We would be the laughing stock of football, sacking a manager who has us in the play offs. You'd also lose many more fans than you would keeping him. It's all well and good reaching that conclusion but you create a bigger problem going forward. One last point in his defence that good squad you mention, is his, so let him see it through.
  19. YES! paint the picture please. Where exactly is your actual evidence that he has lost the dressing room? Details please. Apart from a problem with Davies - and you'd struggle to defend that bloke - where is it? As I''ve said he gets slagged off for being too close to the players is that evidence? Players have regularly celebrated goals and wins with him. His CV in the game and commitment to Oldham speaks for itself, the youngsters like him. The only thing that you can accuse him of is not being articulate, says it as it is in his manc accent. So put up or shut up!
  20. Once again, nothing new said here. Lots of people were satisfied with the effort, some of us understand the difference between effort and quality. If effort won titles we'd have 11 Paul Warnes on the teamsheet. As I said earlier in the thread it was some very average play that was the problem, i.e. inconsistency. I think Shez has mentioned that once or twice before. So your only other bright idea is for him to sit in the stands, listen to the arseholes and then his opinion may change? Oh and you think, or it seems (really convincing words for the basis of a dismissal) that he has lost the dressing room and bullies the kids? I'd love you and your half witted mates on here to be witnesses at an employment tribunal. Corney is a busineesman, leave the hiring and firing to him. Meanwhile I think it's the number 24 bus from Royton to Manchester for you, If the driver goes down a passionless route and you're not happy with his performance then get him booted off in Failsworth before he's completed his journey. I hope the irony of the analagy isn't too much for you.
  21. Totally agree, it's begining to make me wonder this board. One last thing, he's accused of losing the dressing room but also slagged off for being too close - call me Shez etc. Just how does that work?
  22. I really don't think you can read, who said I was pleased? I'm pissed off but I'm also a realist. Like I said get a grip, or get the train to Victoria station, then a tram.
  23. Who said it was good? it was poor today. Not enough movement, some poor passing, predictable runs all wrapped up with a slow tempo in the first hour. But getting rid of the Manager now would be a massive over re-action. Try and have some depth in your argument if you're going to make such outlandish comments.
