  1. "Doctor" Cyclops performs another operation...
  2. I'm going to get my coat and leave this thread behind....
  3. So you're saying all I can look forward to is being lured to my doom in a shipwreck? That's cheered me up no end. She is bloody lovely though, and you can tell her I said that .....again.
  4. Thanks for that. Nobody likes a smartarse. Or a pedant.
  5. LOL At least let me get divorced before you start planning the stag night.
  6. My job title is IT Manager (I work for a finance/loan brokering company). My job basically entails making sure PCs, Servers, Firewall, Phone system, Printers, Software, etc are all working. Alongside this, I am constantly bombarded with Projects that I always fall behind on due to the nature of IT systems failing at the most inopportune moments. Money isn't great, but it's local, friendly, flexible, and I do have the respect of the Directors. It also granted me the opportunity to meet the lovely niece of our own InspectorMorose, a work colleague who I now feel proud to call my girlfriend.
  7. I'll always remember Huddesfield away when we were singing "Happy Birthday to you" to Eyresy as he was warming up. You could tell he was made up by the gesture. Top geezer. He remembered my son's name after he was a mascot for the Tottenham Carling Cup game a couple of years back - we played Colchester the following Saturday (another great goal scored by the man in that game). He saw my son near the tunnel when going off after the warm up, acknowledged my then 7 year old by name, and asked how he was. My son was smiling for a week after that, and his mates were jealous that Eyresy "knew" my lad!
  8. Don't tar us all with the same brush! Yes there are some Biffs in the main stand, moaning and spouting rubbish, but there are some good characters (myself included! modesty eh!) in there as well. We have always had a bunch of ignorant fans who just slate players, tactics, managers regardless of how things are going. I'm sure every stand has them. I don't understand why you would want to spend money to sit in the ground and just whinge for 2 hours. Yes we all feel down at times, but these people seriously need to get a life! Signed, Mr Main Stand Happy Fan and Happy associates!
  9. Not stalking you Andy, but what a tune. I ain't a music afficianado, but I know what I like (in your wardrobe) <-- see what I did there? Top 5 for today: 1: Tears for Fears - Head Over Heels 2: OMD - Messages 3: RHCP - Universally Speaking 4: New Order - Shellshock 5: Bruce Springsteen - Blinded by the Light
  10. Women + Credit Cards + Internet Access = TROUBLE I'm truly sorry Andy, but sometimes the censor has to let things get past him...just for the sake of his own integrity, and to fight the system from within! Anarchist in a shirt, ok, maybe not, but like I said last week, champion for the truth (and Common Sense)
  11. I loathe anyone who has become a "Celeb" following on from appearing on Big Brother or a similar show. Jade Goody, Brian whatever-the-Irish-bloke-was-called, Chantelle Whoever. I can't understand the adulation heaped upon these absolute nobodies, and the press coverage that goes with it. Geordie-Voiceover-bloke-from-BB "Who goes?" Me "Who cares!" AND to make things worse they have all these "Extra" shows "Big Brothers Little Brothers Arse", hosted by some biff like Dermot O'dreary and that other obnoxious skinny scruffy get Russell Something-or-Other. TV dumbing down? Definitely. I know we now have hundreds of channels, but do we have to fill them with cack like this?
  12. Lol, and after you calling me "grass" the other night, who was checking if I was in work when I was posting on here the other evening! Edit: I'm also at work now, but as IT Manager, I have to check the integrity of our web filters and firewall...or should I say as it's all under my jurisdiction, who polices the police? I do turn a blind eye when certain people want to get on the 'net though!
  13. Not strictly true, as I am also a Wilson.
  14. At least you were honest enough to not answer all of them!
  15. After consulting with another entrant, apparently the site where you lifted the questions from was easily found by Googling "Dingbats" - I think you should give people the chance to own up who used this resource, and declare me the winner!
  16. They showed "That goal" on Tuesday night during the halftime interval of Manure Vs Euro XI game. They had a montage of the curly-permed tosser, and I cringed when I saw it on the big screen in the pub.
  17. I've been a long-time lurker on JKL, and know a few names from their and also over at TheFootballForum as well (Rocky, Derek, Beardy). This board is far more user-friendly and practical than either JK or the Official boards. Some good posts and banter on here too.
  18. My nickname when I started work 20 years ago, was Nogger. I always used this as my login, but I've found over the years, my user name has already been taken when signing up for forums, mail accounts, etc, normally by some European geezer. Hence the birth of my new name, TafkaN. Quite simply, The Artist Formerly Known As Nogger
  19. Name: John Occupation: IT Manager Location: Hathershaw How long a supporter: Since 1981, although there have been gaps due to work and family. For the last few years, have rejoined the ST Holders (with my eldest son, and the youngest has expressed his interest, so there's another fan on his way). Normally get to 8-10 aways per season dependant on importance, work, money. Favourite Game: Two answers: 1. Vs Tottenham, Carling Cup, September 2004, Lost 6-0. Why? My son was one of the mascots, and despite the result he had a great night meeting the players and being behind the scenes. He ran on the field with Will Haining, and got his picture took with Sir David of Eyres. There was some great footage of him on Sky as well. 2. beating Man Utd 1993. Favourite All Time player: Rick Holden & Andy Ritchie combination - one crosses, the other nods it in - one tactic that never changes and still works, get them crosses in the box. Favourite Current player: Warne, Gregan, Taylor Finish: Heart - top 2, Head - playoffs Biggest Rival: Tranmere (can't stand em, even before the whole RM saga), and of course there's always room for an unbridled hatred of the Red Scum.
