This thread has lost all it's momentum.
So, Unsworth...So I'll resurrect it.
Yes results not performances this year were good but entertainment still the same.

Good take up considering the quality we have seen for most of the home games.

Happy with the deadwood going.Shame about
some of the contracted players who hopefully we can offload.

Wouldn't let us in the Raven home fans only.We had to go to a crappy place in the top corner and standing room on a side open terrace.Bit like Solihul Motors set up.

Their tin shed ground with vastly superior facilities to BP.
It had a better bar and steak pie as I remarked on my post match comment but their home end is a tin shed

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t hugely matter if we finish 10th-14th, but for me it actually matters. It’s been so long since we’ve had a top 12 finish and a positive GD that it would be nice to see, and just reconfirms the turnaround post Christmas in a more positive light if we can secure top half. It shows how used to failure we are, when i’m sat here saying i’d be happy with a top half finish in non-league, but after the season we’ve had, and the previous couple of years, it’s at least a step in the right direction. Next season though there will be a whole new level of expectation.
I'm looking forward to Saturday to see how much we have improved on the performance down at their tin shed ground when we had only one effort on goal as I recall.

Can only see another win
We have serious momentum now
I really hope we can finish on a high to reward our loyal fans for their superb support both home and away all season.
The Bromley side I saw down there were well organised, all tall and made us look woeful.I can recall just one header all the game and their fans were goading ours at the end.Not for the first or last time so yes let's avenge that woeful performance and bring this season to a close with something to look forwards to next season.

Linked to the Walsall job on twitter.
Can’t see it personally. If this was until the start of January I'd have driven him down to Walsall but credit where its due since then his win ratio has been very good and it is a results and not entertainment scenario.

Good, I hope County go up as well.
Same here.Should make us one of thefavourites next season if we get 3 or 4 good signings in and now Unsworth seems to be showing a far better win ratio now we are scoring more and not giving daft goals away.

Just a couple of months ago I was firmly in the Unsworth out camp and thought him incapable of learning.
But I think he's slowly turning it round and although a lot of the football is still shite I reckon we have a few
good players in defence and attack. I think the football will get better if we get some good midfield players in
who can control the game. I just hope we don't sign Chapman. I know he's bagged a few goals but I don't
see him being effective at all which is worrying as he seems to be a favourite of Unsworth.
Same with me.Juries out but I want a win even with his dull football but I'd rather have attacking entertaining football any day

You’d renew your ST even if Chubby Brown was the manager!!
Well Unsworth is another fat comedian.

Just renewed. Got to be better football than this last season .

Football isn't played on paper.
Most of what I've seen home and away has been played on paper.....bog roll.

Agreed.
But he can’t and won’t in my opinion.
He is too set in his negative ways which is spoiling the momentum which Frank is trying to build up for families at BP.Many who normally go to away games are not bothering after years of following due entirely to the boring rubbish displayed. Its not even as if we were winning much.Other teams know we are a soft touch and collapse when play deep and are in with a chance right until the final whistle.

Hope was doing OK before that Chesterfield
game and he scored a good goal at York.

I think he's referring to the 4 currently available tbf
I agree Nuttall hasn't been great but I think there's a player there if we can get him and Reid playing together consistently. Unfortunately I think a lot of fans have already made their minds up about him. Someone on here called him our worst ever player at weekend which is mind boggling
I think we have a decent strike force but need to add another in the close season for loss of form, injury and suspensions
-
I think we are safe even after the battering we will get this Saturday and losing a couple more by the end of the season.
Time for a rethink at the end of the season on where we have gone wrong and the players we need to get rid of and replace.Unsworth should be licking Frank's motorbike boots for the money he has given him to save him from a mediocre season at best.

Only positive is Nuttalls brace and not before time but hope his confidence is high going into Sat's game at Wrexham.
I'm going and meeting up with an old Wrexham mate I've known over the years so could do with bragging rights as well as a miracle

Why the hell would they want David Unsworth?
Heres hoping

Another post match interview with Unsworth not blaming himself for anything and simply saying it was one of those games and then smiling. At least he didn't say it was a nil niller.
This team performs in fits and starts but with the money invested and players in the large squad we should be getting far better fayre.Woking will be a tough game for sure

Started watching the following season(first in tangerine)so remember a few players from this side - Ledger, Frizzell, Bowie,Blore Towers, Asprey. Don't get highlights like that nowadays on Match of the Day!
I see Big Jim Bowie in our local.Doing very well for his age and a proud Scot. Great days with Frizzell in charge

For balance after negative comments I've made recently, he should get some credit today.
His subs all seem to have made an impact and half time subs is the more aggressive mindset I've wanted to see
Credit where its due.
Glad Clarke scored.Should never have let him go but glad he's back to help with his experience.

May be well out of date but just seen Curle been sacked. G,ood riddance once again.
We have had some crap managers.

I hope all Latics fans will be celebrating even those like me who still have reservations about Unsworth having been to the majority of home and away games supporting our club.
