Not even sure where to start on tonight.
I know from talking to a member of their coaching staff before the game that Halifax identified certain areas to exploit Latics and have done so for the 3rd successive game.
Full post-mortem tomorrow...
OK...I await but they definitely did their homework better and deserved to win.
I'm off to Chesterfield Saturday with hope for a win

That’’s kind of the point though isn’t it? Anyone could have picked that starting line up but the Manager is paid to figure out what to do if things aren’t working out…that’s where they earn a big part of their moneyUnsworth and Ebrell appear to have no idea what to do which makes them no more a football manager than you or me
100%.Managers select the team and tactics and game plans.

Well that my friends was fucking dreadful.
Did Unsworth not learn a jot from the two games against them last season then?, out thought and out fought once again, crying out for another midfielder in the centre of the park, even Gardner may have had some joy in there because Shelton and Tollitt just give the ball away in bad areas at will. Shelton gave it away three times in one passage of play, you'll win fuck all doing that all day long.
Tactically inept, absolutely fucking clueless to what's happening on the pitch and doesn't know how to react, tinpot fucking team like Halifax who lose their best players year on year have again showed Unsworth their arse, they have a budget about a third of ours but somehow get way more out of their players. Clearly Aldershot are absolutely dog shit .
Lost the same fixture last year after three games and we were sat on 4 points, fans calling for Shez head and Unsworth was already in the stands watching us, Unsworth is a lucky man his pal is CEO because the money he's spunking must be giving the Rothwell's palpitations, as an example why have we chased the top scorer from the division below, pushed the boat out to sign him and played him for 1 minute out of 270, that's just fucking incompetence.
Same old shite fucking toothless wankers, something needs to change because we'll do fuck all with this clown, thought Kitching when he wasnt bitching did okay along with Hogan and Sheron at times the rest can get in the bin.
Amen.Latics being Latics will hopefully bounce back Saturday

Halifax are definitely our bogie team but had a better game plan, closed our play down with marking tight and had the better in midfield. Tactics were better.
Their first was a belter but no one was stopping the player.
After the Lord Mayor's show and typical Latics but again being typical Latics could see us win on Saturday.

They got 6 points off us last season.Time now to reverse that.
Glad we are now playing 442 with overlapping fullbacks and a nmidfield that pushes forward
-
I'm looking forward to seeing what their travelling fan who does match reports has to say.
He looks like he is Ken Dodds love child with a ginger mop head, thick glasses and buck teeth and in their lingo looks a gurt lummox.

Think he is rowing the Atlantic again in December so may be something to do with that.
The man is amazing.
Yes,I've heard that as well. What a man.Loved his speech today and always willing to have photos taken with our fans. His money and backing will always be remembered ,appreciated and the funds he has given in contributing to the signing if all these top players. So glad we are playing the 442 .
-
Wow.. that was more like a latics side used to play.
Super goals especially Dickensons and Tollitts.Glad Tollitt is back in since he can score some belters..Midfield tackled and was positive.Defence sound and our passing was excellent.Hopefully we can do the same against Halifax which will make it a cracker of a game at Chesterfield.

When people post to inform friends and acquaintances of latics fans who have passed away to include photos they may have. This way those who don't have a personal knowledge of the people may certainly recognise them.
He wasn't one for photos and I'm only posting to those who knew him.

Yes, just a matter of the fee I understand.
Getting tickets Tuesday. Seems they are buying some good players.Should be a good test as to who are wiser in their player selection or more importantly who can get the best out of their signings

I always knew Latics since I started following them in 1970 as playing 442 with exciting wingers and top strikers.

What a load of tosh that is,
Nobody on here takes any pleasure from seeing their home town team lose,
I know full well I don't, infact I bloody hate it and the miserable outlook has been cast upon us.
It needs to be gone for good
Well said Littlemoor Lad.
Many fans spend a lot of hard earned money supporting Latics and even when we loose I'm not disheartened IF we have done our best .

Don't think I saw a single person praise Shelton last season. All the Latics fans I know and every post on here was rightly saying he's bang average at very best. Not sure where you've been seeing people praise him...
Same here. Can he show where all these fans who love him are?

I've never been a fan of Unsworth and probably never will unless he gets us in the playoffs with the money and backing which Sheridan never had.
I will still give him until October to get us in the top 7 but if not I'd do my best to get Pete Wild off Barrow who loves our club with the passion which the arrogant Unsworth lacks.

Just back. Long arse day, and for fuck all. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. Early season hope somewhat gone, and in need of a bounce-back quickly. After seeing the lineup I was worried, and after 10 mins it seemed inevitable, they looked better in every department which is a huge worry after the issues and lack of pre-season they’ve had. We’ve been heavily backed again, and still having no specialist RB or RWB is unacceptable and we shouldn’t at this stage be having to put square pegs in round holes.
Only we can sign midfielders who played all last season and impressed and then get injured as soon as we’re ready to go. Ward will be about a month or so looking at the way he walked off with his hamstring. Hopefully Lundstram and Green back next week.Reid travelled with the squad, and was there today, and so his absence is not Covid related. Very bizarre.
Not seen back of course, but we seen to concede a lot from outside the box, and Norman looked suspect from my point of view, especially the second. It might be harsh, but that was my initial thought.Sheron and Shelton put in the worst central midfield performance I think i’ve ever seen today, I just do not rate Shelton at all. He offers nothing.
Raglan was equally as bad.Ref couldn’t wait to send a player off for us, he was a disgrace today. Not the reason we lost at all, but the standards of refereeing in this country is a disgrace.
Bang on Daniel.Poor team selection.Massive wake up call .

Nothing wrong with 442 but the point I'm making is that the 4 in midfield were soon sort out by the opposition and should have been changed by Unsworth. They were out played and Unsworth should have have made changes .No service at all to our strikers and dropped back for their first which was just waiting to be taken advantage off.
