I'll be amazed if we don't get beaten on Sat. Bromley have won the last 3.

You are right.Meant tongue  in cheek.I went last year and we got battered  .We only had one header all the game.Having said that we are a far better team than last year so may get a win.Worth a bet.

Bet Hartlepool thought the same on Saturday and Boreham Wood before them. Or maybe you are setting youreself up for a told you so on Saturday. Cant believe some of the comments on here its laughable never knew we had so many moronic fans .

     You are for supporting Unsworth

Wrong. We don't expect to win virtually every game.

But we do expect a manager to play his players in their correct positions, we expect after 50 games a manager to know his best team, best formation and tactics even if his decisions and choices are not winning games. So far Unsworth has failed in all aspects of his job. After 50 games I cannot see any advances. If only he would tell us what he's trying to do.I could accept things if he can explain why things are not working and could even forgive his failures if only he would explain. If we are being impatient as fans then tell us.Instead of sharing his failures he tries to pretend that all is well except for the refs and unlucky results.Us fans are not blind and we see how shit the tactics, formation, team selection is and it's all down to him.

Joey Bartons rant about D.U was spot on.D.U was no different at Everton and that's why I don't think he will ever be a good manager. Not here or anywhere else.I'm sure he's a nice bloke but he just can't manage. It upsets me to hear the crowd having a go but he must respect the fans.Time for him to explain what he's doing and why after 50 games it's not working.if not he should walk away.

Well at least he's got an easy one on Saturday. Even Unsworth  can't fail with that one .

The manager could solve most of our on field problems by taking the shackles of the players.

But seems to be frightened of every other team, and shows them way too much respect.

Unsworth is obsessed with defending, which is dull and boring, and he has little appetite to go after teams, throw numbers forward, and give us something to shout about .

Unsworths football is unexciting,  dull as dishwater and boring. If he wants to keep his job he must change his attitude as to how we play.

Attack is the best form of defence. Give it a try David, you may even like it, for sure the fans are screaming out for something way better than has been served up so far.

I feel most fans have wanted that for many months now and with the players he has  then he must realise that is what we want to see .I'd be 😮  if Joe Royle hasn't told him that.

Supporters job is to support, not cry every time the going gets a bit tough.

From one Rob to another we do support our team  and want the best for the club. That includes  making comments on here about things which plainly are not working .Sometimes my comments have been over the top and will now stop but that is how I feel after seeing over the past 12 months no improvement in our football despite having cherry picked some good players. We all want success for our club and to make it a joy to watch and be entertained but the time has come for many of us to say enough is enough and if he loves the club as we do he should walk out now.

if I were a football manger I'd start out with 'how I want to play?'

That would vary a bit depending on the opposition.  Let's say 4-5-1 away against the best teams, 4-4-2 for the others, maybe 4-3-3 at home. (other formations are available... take your pick this is just an example for a thought process)

Next who are the strongest 11 in the chosen formation? Does that leave any holes/ weaknesses- maybe today you would say 'oh I'm short of a right full back'.

Do I need a different formation for this game to avoid an obvious weakness?- say the opposition have a brilliant left winger. Do I keep the formation but change the personnel- a more defensive RM to support the weaker fullback?

So I have my starting 11.

Next what happens if any individual player is injured? Do my 5 subs offer an adequate replacement ( including if I do a shuffle- lets say I loose my right back can I move a CD over and bring a CD on more comfortable in the centre.

So I have my draft bench. Right what about scenarios

    - I can't break them down- how do I change it?

-I've gone behind- how do a get back in it?

-I'm overwhelmed in the middle/ down the flank etc- how do I stiffen the side

-I'm just in front - do I need to change it to close the game out?

-I've got this won- If I want a cricket score who do I give time too.....

Does this bench give me good/ reasonable options for those scenarios and others?

So yes I'd have a Keeper on the bench.

I'd also have thought about the scenarios above (and others) and the team would know what i'd be likely to do in those situations.

I'm not convinced DU has a plan let alone communicated it to the team.

You are making it far too complicated for him!!!

  7. He's been given more than enough time to show if he has the ability to improve players, knows the best team selection and use of subs and has sadly failed. His style of football is beyond boring as shown by the number of fans who play games on their phones. With everything  else here improving then this must be changed otherwise our new fans will and have drifted awsy .

  8. The views of the vast majority on various forums and speaking to supporters in the ground is that we have given this imposter far too much time and money  and we have not improved one bit.

Other managers would love to have a team, ground and support we have.Just look at Halifax by comparison along with many more.

People want results .I'd put up with boring football  if we got them but we aren't.

If Unworthy had an ounce of pride then he would walk out on Monday but he seems intent on destroying  all the goodwill built up by Frank single handed.

Unsworth in the Oldham times “the balls just not going in”

well that’s because we aren’t creating any real chances . Just half mostly hopeful ones .

Just another of his well worn out cliches.

How much longer must even his few supporters give him.

At least Shez who loves our club did the honorable  thing and walked.Just wish he had been given the time and funding  this imposter has had.

    The football is shite.

Apathy has well and truly set in for me.

Well at least most on here if not all have finally smelt the coffee and accept that El Supremo has to go.

I also feel some of his players have to accept that they should be doing better.

Another thing which makes me sad is that our official  coach which I've used to go to away games has now decided to end due to diminished numbers going.

I do hope sooner than later they put one back on.For a club with over 6000 home fans this is poor.Even Dorking put on a coach and I see Frank treated  them to a pie and pint. What a great gesture as indeed was Marc Whites to us last season

  11. I really was expecting a convincing  win over a dessimated Dorking side. Not even the Unsworth in few on here can possibly keep siding with this manager

I feel so sorry for Frank who has given a lot of funding and support for this clown .The only thing which will get him sacked is if attendances and match day income fall even more than they have done

We supporters aren't expecting wins all the time but certainly far far better with players he has.He should be getting the best out of his players .

Sad how comparable our stats are so far.

It has to be a good performance, a disciplined performance and most importantly, a win.

Not sure on the lineup, do we only have 1 midfielder available?

                     Hudson

    Freeman  Hobson  Hogan Kitching

    Green Sheron Dickenson Tolitt

               Reid   Norwood

Personally I'd try Raglan with Hobson but I don't think he'll drop Hogan.

That's the team I would select with our injuries.

I like their owner and managers passion for his club but this is a game we should win by at least a couple of goals.

Frank is the best thing to happen since the Joe Royle era.

His enthusiasm is magnetic  and I  won't accept any criticism  of him.

He signs autographs, takes  time for photos  with our fans sorry supporters ( wheres that line erase gone) .

He frequents  my local with the Royles and is exactly the same as on camera.

A proper decent Oldhamer through and through..

Just wish he was here a few years ago to help out but better late than never as the saying goes.

  14. For once I'm not having a go at Unsworth.

Our players need to take a long hard look at themselves and how they have performed  or rather under performed and the bookings and sending offs are shameful. Some have been naive and opponents know this.Others like kicking the ball away inexcusable.
