1989/90/91 when we were really good and getting 18,000 in....
Is it that easy to compare? The game is needy and greedy like a spoiled child; players want more, the fans want more - right now, clubs are buckling under the expectation. I suppose there was a simplicity to being treated like peasants by feudal chairmen. /s

The heart was ripped out of the majority of clubs years ago. Ours included.
Absolutely. Realising that your football club isn't a club anymore, is not an isolated observation.

Anyone going to Edgeley Park for the Blossoms gig, make sure you catch Fuzzy Sun as well.
Missus is going to that with her sister.

Nice bass line.
Yeah, pretty decent. Saw these over the weekend as part of a small festival, they were a nice find.

...while helpful to see the context of the full letter, I took no issue with the tone or facts in the Trust summary.
Me neither, I dont' think that the summary of the letter is the most relevant issue.

I remember that incident at Rotherham it was because we had more fans there than what they had allocated in terms of easily available seats. This was because the segregation they had put in gave us 2 blocks of seats in an otherwise empty stand and we needed 3 blocks.
Our fans were removing the plastic netting used as segregation covering seats and were being stopped by the stewards so it all got unnecessarily heated. Then someone realised that removing the netting was the sensible solution and it all calmed down.
When I looked at my ticket (I did POTD but was given a ticket with an allocated seat) after it had all calmed down, my seat was one for the area covered by the plastic netting. A little bit of pushing and shoving all caused by Rotherham not being prepared for the travelling army of Tics on Boxing Day and some wholly unnecessary segregation.

Fucking hell. That was twenty years ago.

What else can be done?
Take stock first, what is the overall objective. No point showing your hand if there's absolutely nothing to back it up.
Everyone is running around like headless chickens.

If that was the case, the focus needs to be on the chairman, not Wild. Make sure he gets it in his head we don't want him.
Have you considered that he doesn't want you?

What's the ultimate aim of this?
To deprive him of enough income that he sells up quickly?
Could that work?
It feels to me that by virtue of Corney seemingly having fucked him over he might well cut his losses and somebody can pick the club up on the cheap.
My worry is he'll exit in a manner that puts us in admin, sees us relegated or even puts the whole existence of the club in (even more) jeopardy....
This is exactly what will happen, he's not emotiionally invested in the club. Ellis Short anyone?

I think he already knows that, he doesn't care - the way I see it, an empty ground plays into his hands.
Wild cares, he 'gets' Latics and should be supported. Do what you got to do.

Enter poor Pete Wild
If he's caretaker again, wouldn't it be best to pack the place out and support him? More voices make more noise.
