Just realised our first ever manager from France (and anywhere but ROI, England, Scottish, Ireland, Wales) .

Because of all Monaco Youth, weren't the youth anymore! Just checked his Dad managed many a team in Ligue 1. Could be a real coup this.

He was in charge of Monaco Youth from 1993 - 2005 Guess who made the Champions League final in 2004.

Still waiting for the club to announce it on own website or twitter though. How Sky know before we officially release it to fans baffles me!

Is everything usually this quiet in the summer? Feels to have been much more quiet more usual. No friendlies announced, no signings, granted we don't have a manager but heard nothing about that. Only thing (I think) since pre season that's been relevant is the retained list. Have we even had an update on the few in negotiations? Had a quick google to last season and we announced a couple of friendlies in late June but had already announced the majority by now as in previous seasons. I remember 10/12 years ago under Moore, I used to log on expecting a signing or some news every day from the club, sure we signed Liddell, Porter, Warne, Wellens etc well before the end of May.

Did a decent job at Chelsea in the Premiership, three titles and a champions league. Defo willing to give him a chance, seems an odd appointment though if we get him.

Is it f*ck! I'd reply yes or no. Simple. There's no need for the 100% better. The only way a response of 100% better would be used is if they were much much better '100% better' .. things such as a meal, a football performance .. can't have a value for 100% better though as they don't have a value, it just implies much better. When talking about a budget, it does have a value, so 100% better would mean it's doubly as good.

Only based on what is the obvious, which I agree it's more obvious we will have a slightly bigger budget than a doubled one. The way it's wrote states it will be doubled though. No other way around it.

I think anyone with a decent vocabulary would choose the latter. The first one doesn't even need the 100% in. The playing better for next year is better than this season suffices.

I disagree. It's not open to interpretation, they way it's wrote means the budget will be doubled for next season. I have strong suspicions it does mean it'll definitely be more than last season as I can't imagine us affording to double our budget, the way it is wrote is wrong and I'm stunned for an organisation representing the fans it hasn't been sorted .. still!

It doesn't say that though. It says "That the playing budget is for next year is 100% better than this season" These are notes that have been approved by the club and the trust. Selling season tickets after stating that quote would be false advertisement, as it clearly states that we have a doubled playing budget for next season from a meeting with the club. If not, why haven't the trust sorted this.
