  1. was surprised there was so many there but how many will be there extra for the next home game? not many id wager
  2. have you taking into account the fine for the melee and 'bruiser' taggart in your calculations?
  3. theres always overreacion on messageboards, this one espeically. as a whole the season has been positive but the second half was propably the worst under Dickov imo, played massively into Carlisle's hands with long ball football for some inexplicable reason and couldn deal with balls into the box, could see the goal coming a mile off. We'd have probably won the game comfortably if we'd have scored early doors when we were ontop but we let a team who have been on a really bad run back into the game and you could see they felt we were there for the taking in the stages before they scored. very disapointed tonight
  4. thought the second half was the worst under Dickov, long ball tactics against a team better in he air than us, couldnt string two passes together when it was (rarely) on the floor and no zip, very very poor tonight
  5. didn realise how good that chance was at the time especially as their were so little chance in the game
  6. hope he's up to speed, didnt realise he hasnt played league football over here for a few years
  7. looks a lot smarter and works well via phone so thumbs up from me!
  8. When i saw 13 pages i thought it might be a possibility it was thread of positivity about the carlisle offer but no there has to be about 10 pages of nonsense as usual, yes Barry might not put he point accross in the best way, but its not about him, its about getting people into BP. its great to see the club trying to boost attendances and is good to see a few local businesses helping out to subsidise any loss. While i'm no idealist i dont think its really the time to nitpick about any cons the offer may have, if i were the owner of a stuggling club, introduced this offer and visited this site to gauge the reaction this thread would make me think, whats the point!!
  9. We seem to have dropped points in games we shouldnt have oo frequently this season and i cant remember many occasions where we have picked up points that we havent deserved. Dagenham - missed a host of chances and fell asleep for an equaliser Carlisle - last minute pen pegged back from 2 nil Rochdale - we were the better team, another pen against us Exeter - 3 goal lead evaperated all in recent weeks yet when we win we have outplayed out oppenants, is this just a lack of concentration not finishing teams off or are we not capable of winning ugly?
  10. certainly not a pen! but Tonk's miss was even more fustrating!
  11. was going to post something similar, echo your comments completly. bigger stronger and class outfit 2nite, reminded me of when a grant holt led Norwich came here, only beat us one nil but were in control in all areas, same story here 2nite, they came out firing got the goal and there was no way back. looking at their personel and budget we were always going to be against the cosh but 6 nil wont do the confidence any good for a small young squad such as ours. Will be very suprised if Soton dont win the league just hope we bounce back from this
  12. poor from barry chuckle, even worse for anyone who believed this outlandish claim of Dickov and Preston!
  13. as much as i dislike united, scholes has been a model pro for years and deserves some respect, props to him for gettin down here and supporting the team he supports i dont see the problem!
  14. agree with this, but will be the same if we just gave the away fans the chaddy end
  15. "thought morais has a ban ? when has he served it ?" ive heard he serves it now unfortunatly
  16. as well as we played we should have had the game sewn up at HT so that was behind my thinking, still some things to work on, we only won by 1, if hudds had scored a 94th min header we'd have been cursing at not being more clinical first half. Think like many others on here i feel more positive coming hme from BP than i have in a long while
  17. maybe a little but with 5 being average everyone is way above that and with 9 being the match winning performance!
  18. Cracking win today and showed we can play both types of football, with an emphatic, flowing, brilliant footballing first half where we ran hudders ragged and a strong defensive performance in the second restricting them to very few real chances. provisionally up to third if we can win our game in hand and no reason why we cant stay there if we can re-produce that every week, although im sure hudds will be disapointed at their showing, way under par from what they've been producing recently. Brill 7 - Thought he could be in for a busy afternoon but it wasnt the case, starting to think about his distribution a bit more and was relativly safe today Lee 7 - Doesnt make many mistakes and didnt today, probably should have scored but took an extra touch but he's not a striker Hazell 8 - Not much got passed him, and showed his leadership well today looks to have a great partnership with m'voto M'Voto 8 - Doesnt distribute the ball as comfortably as Hazell but makes up for it by being a rock of a defender, another excellent game Black 7 - Pretty solid, made challenges when he needed to and got forward when he needed to glad he's back in the team Morias 9 - The midfield spark we've been crying out for, espeically for home games, ran the shw first half and MOM before understanably tiring in the second Furman 8 - Got about the pitch very well today, good on the ball and combatent without it. Needs to keep this level up Stephans 7 - Linked play very well 1st half, didnt retain the ball well enough in the second though and a bit in and out with his delivary into the box Evina 7 - Showed glimses of what he can do, pace to burn but needs to build his confidence a bit, could be a good player for us though Taylor 7 - Good first half, could have got himself on the score sheet, faded a little in the second half but was starved of much service and kept at it well Tounkara 7 - Battled well and got his goal, has played better without scoring this season but still our main threat, just needs to be a bit more lethal All in all an excellent 3 points and should be full of confidence as we go on the road!
  19. yea will be good to see what he brings to the middle, he started off the season pretty well but has lost heart playig on the right, will have to up his game to get into the team on the teams performance today
