  1. After all the doom and gloom that seems to be hanging around lately, anybody having brizzle? A fair few of us at the game as down for the weekend on a stag do. Anyhows is it best to stand or sit for both veiw or atmosphere? Last time I went we got mauled and very wet in the side terrace, that still the standing area? Cheers, Keeping that champagne on ice!
  2. Eyup, Defo up for the brizzle. Was the idea not to hop over the water sat eve for a taste of welshness? Either or for me but would need accom for the stay at either. Theyd be 2 of us heading down. Already picked a selection of fancy dress costumes from our costume store! Mark-You up for the masters? Bout 20 of us all booked so far.
  3. 67 for me. Frustrating or bad planning thing is that the majority of the grounds have been visited on more than one occasion. New ones for me next season: Exeter, Norwich, southampton, yeovil, and shrews or gills. I suspect if I do get there then I will be stuck on 91 as very much doubt MK Dongs is an option for me. 5. I really cant believe that the majority on here think allott did a very good job last season! He was one of the main reasons that our strikers were not getting the service they needed at the crucial part of the season. The dullest player in so many ways. Ok, he did the simple things correct but not much else. Penney must have looked at vids of last season with dismay on allotts performances. He simply wasnt attacking enough and didnt use the pace that we had on the flanks. Thanks for the 07/08 season mark. Hope he gets fixed up but I`m really not going to miss him. 6. Now then, Mark Allott. A player who started off as a striker yet has no real desire imo to move forward with the ball. Yes he is an anchor man and yes he is put there mearly to do the simple stuff but I agree with bb80 in that he has not stepped up to the plate often enough this season. I have watched allott in games for up to ten minutes at a time just to see his movement both on and off the ball and it really is shocking! Against crewe at times he looked lost and played the ball as soon as he got it as though he didnt want it usually with back turned to goal the laying it off to either stam or greegs. When he got an early ball and their were runners he casually put his foot on the ball, had a think and then by that time the chance had gone. The reason our season is a waste is that the strikers have not got enough decent service end of, and I think that allott is to blame for a large portion of that. Creative he aint but at least give the ball to somebody who can work the ball. For me I would like to see both a creative midfielder and a holding midfielder brought in, with Lee and Allott as backup. Keeping that champagne on ice Burgerdarts
  7. On quite a few occasions yesterday eards put some very decent balls in to the mix but nobody gambled on them. I did think though that some very basic stuff was lacking from him yesterday. So many times we lost possession because of his first touch. I put this down to his concentration. If he can put performances in like that and improve on the simple things then I dont see why he shouldnt be in the team.
  8. Got a few in mind. Quite a few of us on the all-dayer. Just wanted to see how many on ere are having a beer in manc before the trot to port.

  13. Earliest I remember was at Oxford in feb 97. 1st time I heard it on what was an awful performance but a decent atmos. Was about 6 of us singing it. We decided to watch the games on the playing fields behind it was that bad! Used to sing it a lot slower than its sung at present which to me is why it fizzles out too quickly. They the days
  14. Will be down early eve friday to prepare for the allday session that will be sat! Not out on the town on the fri but prob catch a couple of swifties to line the stomach! I presume both before and after the game we will be in the same pub as last year and I have not heard any different off mark. Prob do the same as last year and move on into town after a couple of hours in said pub. Just hope that the atmos and banter in that pub is similar to last year as we had a great crack!
